I'd be gutted if Berbatov left but I reckon if we get the following:

- New Goalkeeper (Gomes or Kameni)
- New left winger (Capel)
- Defensive Midfielder (Diarra)
- New 6 foot plus foward (Etoo - 5'11 near enough, Kanoute - my first choice, Gudjohnsen, etc...)

We'll do just fine! :wink:

That's a pretty good team. If we can get all those players in, we might just manage to overcome the loss of Berba. But I'd like berba in the team ahead of Kanoute who would be on the bench.

Don't know how many more years we have on Berbatov's contract, but it all comes down to does he want to be a Spurs player. If he has a notion of playing for Real Madrid or Man United then we'll have to sell him. But if he's committed to Spurs then he should be on a long enough contract and people should drop this unsettling debate. We spent years posting about Keane, but everyone seems to accept that Keane is Spurs at this stage and doesn't contemplate him leaving even when he has an off day or 5 as he appears to be having. I hope berbatov commits to Spurs because he did have a poor start yet has managed to improve on last seasons totals. If we want to be winners we need top class players like Berbatov, a truly world class player.

That would probably be enough to fund some frizzy grey haired scientist somewhere, and just get him to clone Berby ! We must have samples of his DNA. Just look in the dressing room by his peg. Find a strand of hair. Just be careful not to get an old one of Mido's.
