Following ongoing examination and assessment over the past few days, we can confirm that Ben Davies sustained ligament damage to his left ankle during Saturday's win against West Ham United.

Wishing him a speedy recovery, not just for our sake, but I'd hate for him to miss the Euro's with Wales.

Sounds similar to Harry's injuries, normally about 4-8 weeks depending on the severity...could be more if it's really bad.
Shit news, especially at such a busy part of the season....means we're gonna see a lot of Rose, unless Jose fancies Verts there.

Sounds like they’re doing the usual spurs thing of waiting to see if they can avoid an operation.....only to wait two weeks then realise he does!

Thought it looked bad at the time, surprised he was able to carry on

I've had that type of injury about a year ago. The pain is not that much, you can almost walk normally (though doing that will only enhance the damage), but you can feel something is not quite right and your ankle/foot feels pretty weird.

If he doesn't push it, he should be between 1.5 and 3 months out.

Shame. Better at defending than Rose. Thought he did well last weekend and that we’d probably not have let in the first goal against Olympiakos had he been playing instead of Rose. I’d prefer Jan at left back if Maureen continues with Sanchez and Toby as our central pairing.

'Ligament damage' is a very vague description and can be anything from mild to career ending. Hopefully this is minor and he recovers quickly. Walking off was a good sign in any case.

Fuck. At this rate we are not signing a new RB but in fact LB.
And no, I don't think this is a matter of being back already after Christmas, if they are already considering surgery now.

I thought it was the knee at the time with how he went over and his knee bent fully and took his body weight with the motion.
