OK today went badly after a reasonably good first half...

After all that went wrong with certian players and lack of a stand out player, got me thinking about Wednesday's clash with Chelscum.

Can you pick out based on performances recently a team to play Wednesday. You can see who wants to play and you can see who really should not play anymore.

I think Wednesday is the test. Who will stay next season. From today you can pick out the few that did stand out.

:hello:

what ive noticed is apart from lennon we really lack pace in the team which makes us very predictable e.g 1st half against PSV

Objective in summer........................ PACE IN MIDFIELD

Today the players' looked jaded and tired. Saying that our midfield doesn't have pace is borderline on retarded. Zokora and Jenas are VERY quick.

like i said in another thread 'at what'

whats the point in having pace if you do nothing with it. jenas and zokora have pace and should be driving us forward but they dont.

what i meant was attacking midfielders with pace(that can actually use it)

I dont think its pace the main thing we need to look at.

Jenas isn't slow, and Hutton coming up from RB is prity quick as well.

What we need to look for is a midfeild that will work for one another, not just stand there and watch the game.

How many times do we try and play the ball from the back, get it upinto midfeild and find we have no options, and goes back to our center backs or Robbo.

As for the original question. I could pick about 7 places for people who should get a start from the last few games.

Half the team have pace, unfortunately the other half don't.

It's still a far cry from the pedestrian team we had under Hoddle that Included Sheringham, Poyet, Redknapp, Anderton, Doherty, Ziegle and Freund

the midfield dont seem to interested at the moment

give TT and Adel a better chance although i think its already been decided TT is to leave by the looks of it

we are just finding out the depth and quality players in the squad is not good enough yet

Yes the MF need a kick up the arse. TT to play v the bluescum. It seems lennon, jj and steed all need a rest at the moment, but maybe after wednesday. Id like to see gilberto start on the left of midfield with tainio and two others. Maybe Hudd at AM and lennon on the right.
