Ok, few questions.

How many loyalty points is likely to be the cutoff?
Whats the cheapest way of getting there?
Who's going?

1. I reckon about 400 points.
2. Easyjet or Ryanair.
3. Yes. Can only get one day off, so will do a Thomas Cook / SportOps day trip.

Flight costs have just gone through the roof. Soon as draw was made i had flights in my checkout basket with Easyjet from liverpool at £100 each. Held off cos my son is about to start a new job so didnt complete transaction. Flights are now £300 ish. Wouldnt have got a match ticket tho!!

I may be tempted to go but won't have my passport probably. Good thing in all as can't afford it at all but will be so much fun.

I went to a game a few years back seeing R9 and Zidane in his pomp and literally came out of the stadium smiling. It was a great experience. The stadium is in a really nice area of twon, quite central on the metro.

If anyone is looking for anywhere economical to stay, 'pensiones' are fairly cheap and good. I stayed at one called Hostal Gonzalo on Calle Cervantes I think.

The cheapest way was to be on EasyJet at 11.15AM with card details in hand.

Now the cheapest options are to either fly days in advance of the game and days after, or avoid london and madrid as destinations (e.g fly from bristol to alicante.. dunno if that is a route, just an example).

Otherwise you can look at overnight sleepers.

Flights are already 400 quid

I gambled early, booked the flights for 137.....and fucked them up so had to cancel cos they wanted 800 quid for another time.

I'm resigned to not going now. 3 days wages, 500 for a ticket, 500 for flight and hotel.....it's not worth it.

I had flights with Ryan Air for 150 shortly after teh draw came out. Spanning the 2 days as i didn't know then that it was on the 5th then. Tried to complete it kicked me out and when i logged back in they were 200 quid !

Got a flight and accomdation deal on trip advisor for 250 although have to change at zurich on the way out and back.

Should have had like 5 tabs open for each possible destination and then just pressed book as soon as the draw came out!

Booked Eurostar to Paris (£30 through work), Flight Paris to Madrid (£50) and then direct flight back with Ryan****s at 6:30 next morning (£75) to Stansted.

At leastwe won't need a hotel....

Allocation will be 3,000.
This is maximum that clubs have to give opponents in Champions league.
