Sherwood will be just as frustrated as us surely. He'd have seen and heard all that was wrong with the AVB regime. I'm sure the football will be more positive and attacking. I'm giving him a chance.

Who else did people expect for a game in 2 days. It was either Sherwood or Freund.

Hiddink would be nice long term but can't see that happening. Klopp would be awesome for my one legged donkey joke.

And so another chapter begins..... Who will be next in the firing line ?? Why can't we ever seem to get it right. It's not for the lack of investment. Why do we always seem to get it wrong when appointing the manager? We all rave about how we finally have the right man only for it all to go so wrong shortly after. Stability is the only way to progress but we're so trigger happy

Sherwood or Freund on Wednesday. then either they continue until the end of the season or an interim manager appointed.

Allows a manager in a job to be recruited in the summer - not that much choice of good managers immediately available.

4-4-2 it is then........................

Fuck sake.

I can see it now. We'll come out on Wednesday playing 4 4 fucking 2! Lennon and Townsend on the wings, Adebayor and Defoe up front. Only 'tactical' instructions will be "get the ball in the facking box"! Just like playing football from the 1980's.

Dark times ahead.

Oh dear

it's fair to say don't judge until he has managed, my concerns as Edmonton pointed out is his views on the game, for example he adores defoe!!!

I am heartbroken, I have never loved another man(ager) like I loved Andre. But he was the master of his own downfall in many ways, he either didn't learn from obvious mistakes or was too stubborn to rectify them. Would have preferred him to have been given a bit longer to try and turn it around but I'm not surprised he was axed, it's like he had become scared to lose rather than trying to win and it came across in our turgid football and players playing within themselves
