While it's good to see Tanganga and Rodon get starts, it does beg the question of how it's taken so long for Mourinho to work out that they are better options than Dier and Doherty.

If they do make mistakes today the blame shouldn't be on them but the manager who has a) failed to give them sufficient game time and b) played them both together without our most experienced, competent defender (Toby) to help compensate for their inexperience.

Also, Kane, Son and Bale are world class players as well as being our best attackers with the best goal scoring/assist records in the league. If one of them is unavailable (Son) then it makes no sense dropping our next best goal threat (Bale) to the bench.
