He's missed something silly like 3 single games through injury since he started in the men's team. He's missed more for England.

They don't really get injuries to their key players too often, certainly not to the extent of literally every other team in the league

Agree with this. What significant players have Arsenal really lost to injury. Of their top players this is the list (who has played/been available what of their 29 games):

29 - Rice, Saliba, Gabriel & Raya/Ramsdale.
28 - White, Saka & Havertz
27 - Odegaard.
26 - Martinelli.
23 - Zinchenko
20 - Jesus

That's 9 of their first team line up have been available pretty much the entire season. Even Havertz only missed the game due to suspension. Yes they have a few injured or unavailable but to have 9 in total for almost the entire season is crazy.

Compare that to us this season:

29 - Vicario
27 - Kulusevski & Johnson
26 - Porro & Son
25 - Sarr
24 - Romero & Udogie
21 - Bissouma
19 - VDV & Maddison.

Arsenal missed games in total amounts to 23, ours is 52. I've only chosen the supposed first teams as if you start adding in Timber for Arsenal, or Bentancur/Solomon for us it distorts it a lot. I would also say that the 2 players at the bottom of the list for Arsenal are their least important whereas VDV & Maddison being absent for as long as they were impacted us massively.

We're not the only club to have numerous significant injuries, though. Chelsea, United, Newcastle, Liverpool, Brentford etc have all had multiple long term injuries.

Even taking into account players withdrawing from internationals and the addition of their UCL games, they have been lucky (or smart) with regards to keeping key players available throughout the season. Whatever they are doing behind the scenes is working. I don't know what it is, but something there is doing the trick.

Yup and they are still able to play this crazy all intensity high press domination games, its crazy. Reminds me of livepool when they won the title, they kept their core players fully fit all season whilst playing this insane high press system.

Our players cant even sustain it for 2 halves of football playing once a week.

One thing I really noticed with watching them is their players are excellent at reading danger and tracking runners, they just pick them up so well something we are poor at.

Said it in the match thread last night but it’s incredible to think back to the night that we pipped them to 4th just two seasons ago just how different our trajectories have been. Every man and his dog thought it would be Conte now leading the way with a title charge and Arsenal without CL money would drop off to mid table obscurity and would lose their best players. As it turns out we have lost our greatest ever player and they’ve gone on to challenge for the top prizes.

I don't know how accurate it was, but I saw a stat where they have also conceded the fewest shots in 2024. Say what you want, but they're doing the right things. I just think not going for it v City will cost them (possibly both) the league.
