Liverpool of the south

I'd prefer City to win the title than Arsenal/Liverpool, that's how much I despise these bellends
I'd always prefer City to win the title over those two because it doesn't mean anything. It's a bought and paid for sportswashing machine and to me it's like the title is null and void when they win.

If Arsenal or Liverpool win they have legitimately won it and that would actually mean something.

Not sure that is a controversial take mate, everyone would prefer that.

City's titles are meaningless to the majority and who actually knows a City fan?
I know one City fan, my boss has been a fan since the 60s. Other than that, nothing before kids started popping up in Haaland shirts everywhere

I have a very long-standing friend who's been a City fan (and ST holder) since the late 60s. He now prefers to watch his football at Knutsford because it's a more authentic experience and he can just turn up on the day and watch the football with a drink in his hand.

I was surrounded by Man C fans in the pub for our match against them a few weeks ago. It seemed like most of them were lifelong type fans given their age and their accents.

Two things struck me about them. Firstly, how much they seem to dislike us. Secondly, how much they went on about the league being biased against them, that the referee was corrupt etc. It wasn’t just regular moaning about decisions, it was full on conspiracy theory stuff.

I would still prefer them to win the league than Liverpool or Arsenal though!

If they were proper City fans then it stems from the Cup final.

All proper fans dislike a random team due to an incident a long time in the past, it is what makes football, football.

It all stems from them going down the leagues and believing in 'proper football'

They use to say that United have just bought the title and were just for tourists.

After the last 20 years they've had to accept that they've actually become worse than the idea of United that they had hated for so long.

Even up to a few years ago a lot of the the fans weren't bothering going to the CL games as it wasn't 'proper football '.

Still though, if I were a City fan I'd much prefer going to see Haaland, Doku, Foden etc than Paul Dickov and Sean Goater. Much better entertainment these days even if they have cheated.

Yeah and they still hate us for the FA cup thing, at a guess after United we'd probably be their second most disliked club. I still don't get that mentality to be honest.

Unbelievable... part of the defence was that the Spanish word for disgrace has a slightly different meaning.

The FA reap what they sow.

The way Artea came out and ranted should have been punished along with Arsenals statement, which happened some time after the event, in which they had time to reflect and make a proper assessment.

Both Arsenal and Arteta should have been punished, what’s to stop him doing it again or for another manager to do it, citing the same reasons.

Absolutely mad considering some of the bans that have been handed out over the years. The league looks more and more like it's run by brown envelopes. Oh well.

How can this align with showing referees and officials respect. Complete and utter joke, that is far from funny

Everything wrong with football, right here. Those in charge are not fit for purpose , the inconsistency is unbelievable.
