Lee Gunner is a treat.

Them whining about fixtures already is funny because The Athletic thinks they've got the easiest start to the season.

I didn't realise Vieira has only had 20 starts for Porto.

I can't believe they are going to spend 35m on a 22-year-old who only has 20 starts in Liga NOS, a league that is no way a benchmark to show a player is ready for PL football.

Liverpool signed Diaz off the back of 30 months in which he climatised to the Portuguese league, gradually got better and then showed his quality in the CL regularly. He had become probably the best player in the division.

This kid hasn't gone through the full stages of development yet. He's not performed consistently and back to back, he's not outgrown his environment, he's barely even broken through.

I'd be pretty annoyed if we were making this signing.

So Arsenal fans spreading fake data on Fabio Vieira to show as if he is great.....

This data was supposedly for Europe's top5 leagues.... Top5 leagues are PL, SerieA, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue1

Somehow, Vieira from Portuguese league got added here... :ROFLMAO::X3:

“Eddie Nketiah new deal, never been in doubt. Arsenal are just waiting for Eddie to sign in the coming days but there’s no issue or problem.”

I can just hear the chants: “He’s one of our own! He’s one of our own! We’ve signed a player - and he’s one of our own!”

10 minutes in absolute gold. Classic Lee judges rant with the pointing hand ?

Gets even better youth project 3.0 ?

Why do they keep thinking Bissouma is a massive arsenal fan? Haven’t they seen the video of him laughing at the players?

Great player I’ll admit. I know a ton of people around the Portuguese game and Porto fans love him. And it’s incredibly easy to compare him to Bernardo Silva beyond the nationality. Small players, wands for left feet, can pick out every pass in the book, versatile in where they operate, fantastic body control and agility, magicians in tight spaces, grafters with great engines, underrated athletes. Inconsistent ball strikers the both of them but can strike a football sweetly.

One thing I will say, is that Arteta clearly has a plan to build a squad to try to control the middle third as much as possible. Have as much control of possession as possible. Get as many ball players and technically gifted players in the team as possible and add creativity on top of that. Their top target is a striker who does his best work in the build up. It’s not 100% Pep, because I don’t think their build up is that similar nor do I think Arsenal have the pressing at a level of City, but clearly trying to build a squad like City’s. Great player and I guess we’ll see if it works out.
Agree I know we have done better than them but they have great technicians we have only really one creative AM in Deki. I want to see more players like that in our team.

Front what I have seen from him he seems to talk sense. Like how he calls out all the silly twitter pricks and other YouTubers

It's a massive punt pushed on to them by Mendes. I guess they have Europa as a way to give him gametime in the first half of the season. Certainly quite a few red flags around him. Probably gets loaned back to Portugal in January a la Gil.

His stats are pretty crazy for his breakthrough season, they could have grabbed a gem really early or they could have been duped by Mendes. With that level of experience you'd think it'd be better to give him another season but I guess they wanted to beat other teams to him, and £30-35 is not really a buy-and-loan-back kind of fee. Time will tell.

This Viera kid has less appearances than Bryan Gil and played in inferior leagues. He’s the same sort of build as Gil hard to believe he’s gonna make any impact immediately. If Arteta really intends to play Partey Odegaard
Saka Viera Martinelli
ST ?

They will get bullied silly. Yeah I’m sure that line up might play some lovely football in a few games. Other games they will get ripped to pieces and we will hear “ they are young “ all part of the process. Well not really these are just physically weak players and still will be in 2 years. Skipp is 21 and harder than any of their 1st Xi. It’s really laughable serious football people think this is a recipe for success they are living in dream land.

Interesting to see how much money they have to spend. No CL football again and they're not generating any real funds from sales.

Viera might be an excellent prospect, but they have huge gaps now. 4 of their back 5 are under the required level. They need a strong centre mid. They have lost PEA and Lacazette and have no quality striker.

This type of signing makes more sense when you have a functioning team and he's brought in for some integration and development before playing more regularly.

I just hope they keep clinging to the project.

Palace away first game of the season, hoping for a bloodbath, Palace fans can turn it on when they want to.
Too true and especially as it is an evening game. Looking forward to this one and I will be checking the odds on a lovely home win ?

All his stats are so mis leading, he came off the bench a lot. It’s much easier to gain assists, play progressive passes and generally look good when the other team are chasing the game. He looks a technically good footballer, rather similar to what they have. Long may they continue spending money without addressing the real issues they have.

Viera was joint top in the Portugal league for assists last season. There are lots of angles to question or criticise this signing, the number of assists isn't one of them.

Looks like a very good player in the Youtube videos I've seen. Good first touch, can put a cross in and can play all sorts of passes, and a good dribbler too. Hopefully, it doesn't work out for him at Arsenal.
