Mourinho had never managed mid season until we came along and gave him a fat contract when he was unemployed.

It’s definitely not out of the realm of possibility - is what I’m saying.

Jose was desperate for a job in the Premier League, Conte isn't desperate.

And massive LOLs for us if Aurier ends up playing for Arsenal. I'm sure there are many Arsenal fans who'd rather play a bag of cement.

He really wouldn't even need to try that hard and he would be the best RB at Arsenal. I just know if he signs for them, Aurier and his reps will absolutely fleece them in terms of wages, agent fees and sign-on bonuses :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Pretty funny seeing them massively big up the women’s team as so desperate for something to cling onto ?

He’d be mental to take over Arsenal.

the way I see it, is that he doesn't need arsenal. He can just sit out and wait for a plum job at a champions league club to come along.

he seems as suited to arsenal as Jose Mourinho was to us, and we all know how that ended.

I think it depends on how bored he is, surely he has enough ego to believe he can turn anyone into winners?

I think it's hugely unlikely to happen because they've spent a lot of money over the last few seasons so I'm not sure Conte would get the fabled "war chest" he'd no doubt need.

Hopefully they keep Arteta for a bit longer and then move for Sol!

In that case he would have accepted us don't you think?

We could potentially offer more to Conte than Arsenal, and that would have been a better time for him because he would have had a pre season as opposed to taking over in October and no doubt he'd need money to spend to get his own players in and he'd want them to get rid of the players he wouldn't want to be there, they're struggling to do that now!

As you said it's unlikely to happen, It just wouldn't make any sense particularly for him.

Assuming (and praying) its NOT Conte, I really don't know who they'd get.

Usually there's an obvious candidate or two when a big job comes around, but like us (when Naagelsman went to Bayern and Ten Haag signed a new contract), there doesn't seem to be a standout candidate who they can get especially mid season.

If this were the summer, they'd go all in for Brendan Rogers but I don't think he'd leave Leicester mid-season.

It'll have to be a Graham Potter or someone.

agreed - but very difficult mid season.

They may have to go with a caretaker till the summer......a figurehead the fans can get behind like Thiery Henry.

I just wondered if he might now be bored and that looking at sitting the whole season out might make the situation at Arsenal slightly more appearling. I think however he sounds quite up front about his demands and I don't think Arsenal can accomodate any more than we could (or perhaps would).

Potter would probably make the most sense both for them and for him so I really hope not.

Sol? Why do I feel like singing a special son when I hear his name ?

Keep smoking whatever you’re smoking, and send some my way ?

Nah fully fit - it's actually not that bad. I definitely think Conte might be tempted as they have a decent foundation already for his 3atb.

They also have a lot of young players who should only get better.

people underrate arsenal's squad, it's really not bad at all.
It isnt, on paper. But no manager can fix the problems that club has. Poor recruitment & hilarious overpays aside, their experienced players could not be any worse for their younger talented players to play with. Will do those players no good for the future. They are no one to look up to at all. Its sad for their younger guys. Feels like there careers will stall as they have no one to help bring them along in their first team games & their manager is nowhere near good enough a man manager to help

Not to say the clubs treatment of its younger players they developed has been any better. The treatment of Maitland-Niles is absolutely disgustingly pitiful. To never give him a chance, block moves for him & to send him back to the reserves all for asking to move on so he can actually play. He deserves better. Arteta & Edu are just as awful for that club as the experienced players are.

Long may it continue.

I do believe Conte would go there if they had a better footballing structure above him. The Kroenke’s clearly arent afraid to spend in the transfer market.

Of course it isn't, it's not better than ours though and most people would have us down for a top 6 finish so maybe they have the 7th/8th best squad in the league.
