Yeah it's fun to laugh to at Woolwich and Ozil constantly missing games and going missing during games but this is really worrying. Is this another incident that happened?!?!?

I'm guessing there may have been some sort of threat made to them behind the scenes. Bit fucked up for players who are perfectly able to play to not be available for a match due to an external threat. Would be so pissed if this was the case for players on our team.

Football rivalry aside, players having to miss matches because of security concerns is shitty.

Dont know the details but this looks like some sort of organised crime bullshit they have got themselves involved in to me.

Ozil infamously involved himself with Turkish politics getting friendly with their lovely local Islamic dictator, I wonder if it's linked to that somehow

True. Might not be popular among people who had to escape Erdogan.

I know from living in Germany and having connections within the football world there, Ozil is hated and will never be able to play for Germany again. He’s also unlikely to be able to play for any German club.

He has no clue about public relations, and has effectively burnt his bridges with a nation that loved him.

He’s likely made a lot of enemies, both in Europe and further afield.

God only knows the story with Kolasinac. Who knows, maybe they are involved in organized crime, more than the crime of being paid a fortune to play badly. I guess as we don’t know the details, it’s hard to comment beyond speculation...

Must be related to the knife attack if both of them have been targeted.

If it was a matter of Turkish nationalism, why would Kolasinac be involved? He’s Bosnian?

If they are involved in crime, then they are idiots. They earn money we would be so happy to earn, and to risk it all for more money or a thrill is insane.

If they are being targeted unfairly, then I have every compassion for them as human beings. Club rivalry aside, nobody should be physically terrorized.

Kolasinac is both a close friend of Ozil and also a devout Muslim - if it's somebody pissed off at Ozil's friendship with Erdogan it's possible he'd have been caught up as collateral at first but makes a decent target afterwards anyway.
