That is incredible - the fat tub of lard was out of breath just lifting himself off the canvas! :ROFLMAO:. What kind of fool gets into the ring in that kind of condition.
Like a lot of those dysfunctional clowns on AFTV I get the impression that he is not wired up right.

In all seriousness, I think you might have hit the nail on the head there

That's why I feel a bit uncomfortable laughing at some of them; I genuinely believe they have learning difficulties, etc, and they shouldn't be thrust into the limelight

I posted about this previously somewhere in this thread

AFTV amused me to start with but I find it all a bit sad now, grown men wearing football shirts who have borderline mental health issues being exploited and baited for advertising revenue. Long may it continue though, making that shit club look like a laughing stock.

Agreed - I have laughed my knackers off at AFTV, like we all have, but I can't help feeling Robbie is getting rich from the drama of other peoples' problems, so he might want to take a look at himself as well.
Unless something changes dramatically this could be another train crash season for Woolwich, which should obviously be celebrated, but not at the cost of turning vulnerable people into circus acts.

To my knowledge Levy has always run his accounting by not including money from European competition thus not falling into the trap of a shortfall in cash if you don't qualify for Europe and even the Levy naysayers must admit it is a very shrewd way to go about running a top club.Act as if there is no incoming money from Europe and when there are cash windfalls from EUFA or champions league it really is a bonus.
Also I admire the fact that he insists that bums on seats equal attendances and not tickets sold when there is obviously thousands not attending matches a la Arsenal attendance figures.
Levy is a clever and sensible old sod thank goodness and he has played the long game with spurs and it seems to finally paying dividends. Lets hope Arsenal lose out on champions league again next year and if the do miss out and we qualify for the champions league I think for the first time you could say we really have overtaken them.

This. Robbie used to be always bigging it up as him giving a voice to the real fans who are ignored by traditional media and all that bollocks but all he does in reality is wheel out this bunch of caricatures to embarrass themselves so that rival fans can laugh at them on social media. He just exploits them like a circus exploits performing animals, all under the guise of him being some kind of hero for giving a voice to the real fans or whatever. He's a twat. Their entire business model I'm sure relies more on rival fans finding it funny than actual arsenal fans tuning in for some kind of "insight"

Isn't his brother a TV producer? Which has probably allowed him to have an understanding on what 'sells'.

You're right though. As much as he wants to tell people why he is doing it, if he was to only interview level-headed people then AFTV would be nowhere near as successful as it is. People tune in for the meltdowns, the tantrums, the controversy - he knows that, therefore he is exploiting it and to say he isn't shows that he is lying.

For example, when Arsenal have an emphatic loss, he interviews much more people (gotta maximise those views). When they win, it is much less.

Which is why I don't get the obsession on here with AFTV.

Agree. Watched bits of it back in the early days but it very quickly became obvious it was geared towards people like us tuning in to make fun of it so I never bother now. Just a group of idiots shouting at each other making stupid arguments. Gets very repetitive very quickly.

Apparently if you have around 1m subscribers on you tube as Robbie has you stand to make between $1,000 - $3,000 a week, which equates to $100k/year or £75k, which is not too shabby
You can see why Robbie might have left any ethics he once had well back down the trail.

They won't have it, and they won't want to hear it, but this whole lowballing thing is something we saw for years, and it's all geared up to a 'we tried' message from the CEO at the end of the window.

Palace were never going to sell their prize asset for 40m, days after selling their 2nd prize asset for 50m. But they can say they put in a relatively big bid and 'tried'

Same with Maguire if that rumour is true. I find it hard to believe they would bid 50m after United had 70m rejected yesterday, but nothing would surprise me anymore.

They're a mid table team with 2 decent strikers. Simple as that. I used to hate Ramsey playing against us, he was their most dangerous player most of the time. They've let him walk away for free. That's an absolute scandal and it's hilarious. They aren't even talking about replacing him which seems like madness to me. Not to mention the need for a whole new defence.

Stack up the two squads and its genuinely not even close. Especially if we get our reported targets and even if we lose Eriksen/Toby

Imagine you are so bitter/sad you waste the time to make up a story to make yourself feel better about how shit your club is doing in the transfer market :joyful:

Very true.

I heard they offered a contract to Paul Merson last week :cautious:

Oh no...

Arse told the world they only had 45M to spend in the hope they might get a good deal. But someone big mouth the true amount being closer to 70M.

Good luck with Zaha.

Haha!

Someone mentioned that Arsenal are like us at the turn of the century now, while I can see what you mean, I don’t think they’ve sunk quite that far down just yet, but they aren’t far off. Their fans on the other hand seem to have gone full West Ham.

That's what you call acting like a small club.

And yet they so nearly finished above us. Got 4 points off us too. Nearly 6.
The CL run was epic but it covered a pretty poor domestic season (for us).

I want a comfortable 6 points off them next season. That is a good target.
As good as a trophy to my small mind.
