It's just farcical at this point. Was always a bad idea when they announced that they were going to go after dissent at the start of the season. Book players when they are using aggresive behaviour or language, but players will always be emotional in the same way they can waive an arm towards a teammate who didn't pass the ball.

It becomes stupid if you are going to book them every time, and it becomes worse when refs can just do it at their own discretion like yesterday.

???

How is Elliott getting a yellow when his reaction was milder to both of Odegaards???

Lucky for them Toney seems to have committed his future to Brentford today, saying he owes it to them for sticking by him.

As I said in the FA Cup thread all this does is fuel the conspiracy theories among Liverpool fans. There's no justification for those outcomes at all.

The maddest thing is Ødegaard getting away with it twice. Once can be excusable, twice is never on.

Don't think he is even a target for them? Arteta likes to sign young players who fit his system, not sure Toney fits that

Fkin hilarious. Home team dominate but get done on the break from a set piece of whatever. Happens all the time since the dawn of football time.

Oh the injustice.

As Richarlie puts it, cry more 😂

Or he is running down his contract for a payout, what was his quote a while ago “fuck Brentford!”?

Not sure if posted but.... awkward  :ROFLMAO:

"Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard suffered something of a double blow on Sunday after mistaking Liverpool fans for his own supporters in his side's 2-0 defeat in the FA Cup third round."

Should never have signed Havertz.

Should have instead gone for a more box to box midfielder to replaced Xhaka, anyone could see a midfield three of Rice, Odegaard and Havertz wasn’t gonna be that great as far too light weight aside from Rice.

I still reckon Rice was a fantastic signing but they should have been looking to get another box to box midfielder to play alongside him or play Partey there rather than at right back when he’s actually fit.

I was all for cracking down on dissent. Unfortunately, the refs just aren’t competent enough to enforce it.

They had really turned their recruitment around a few years ago but lately its got poor again, Rice is class but £100mil is overpriced but Raya has messed up a lot and shot Ramsdale's confidence and Havertz has been a big waste of money. Love to see it.

I wouldn’t say that as Rob asked us not to make any dodgy or libel comments in relations to that particular chap. 😉😉
