According to goal.com He must be the Almighty himself as, the state, he's got "infinite potential". Only an infinite entity can have infinite potential...

Blues Steppe In For 'Keeper

Premiership giants Chelsea are reportedly in talks with Germinal Beerschot over their hotly-tipped young goalkeeper Kenny Steppe...

Chelsea are reportedly preparing to swoop for Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen starlet Kenny Steppe.

The 19-year-old has infinite potential which has been harnessed by the Jupiler League outfit this season. Veteran goalie Jan Moons started the season between the sticks at the Olympisch Stadion before being usurped by the promising youngster after just five games.
Now, GBA have surged to fifth place in the league, and Steppe has been capped for Belgium's Under 21s, drawing scouts from across Europe during his rookie year.
Thus, reports suggest that the Blues are ready to swoop for Steppe in the summer with a view to a two-year arrangement wherein he will continue his development with GBA before moving to Stamford Bridge after a couple of seasons.

At the very least, Chelsea are seeking first refusal on the shot-stopper and are said to have already outlined their plans to the Germinal Beerschot board.

Germinal Beerschot? Sounds like the results of a Saturday night out.

I didn't make them up, honest, guv. They hail from Antwerp and are currently fifth in the Jupiler League.

Their second-choice keeper rejoices in the name of Jan Moons. Given the hilarity this might cause over here, it's probably just as well we aren't being linked to him.

It was in the oh-so-reliable Daily Mail yesterday that Chelsea were in for him, didn't mention us though.

I'm pretty sure we could now field three full teams of keepers with whom we've been linked more or less tenuously.

Would seem strange to go for an inexperienced goalkeeper unless Ramos has already taken a look at alnwick and decided he isn't good enough to be backup.

It fits in with Comolli's strategy to buy young players from Europe. He does it for every other position, I don't see why keeper should be any different.
