Thanks mate, that means alot. Mollie is *easier* I guess and she can talk to us and communicate and while her condition without help will be fatal we know where we are at all times.
Ted cant tell us anything outside of the limited pecs cards he will use. He had a stomach bug at Xmas, and would take himself into the dining room and curl up in pain, my heart still breaks over that. Teds needs are arguable more complex than his sisters just in a different way.
I can't imagine how exhausted and stressed you guys are.
My daughter 'just' had a couple of holes in her heart and that tension and worry wore me out completely.
To be coping with the trials that you two are faced with is nothing short of incredible and you should be immensely proud of yourselves.

I feel for you all so much and just wish there was more I could do to help.
I'm not one for all that "thoughts and prayers" shite but I'm honestly sending you all my love and will be rooting for you all constantly.
Much love to you all.

Lovely words, thankyou. I think its how I can cope with being a Spurs fan, I have had plenty of practice with stress being a Spurs fan my entire life.

Yeah, watching the spurs shitshow must be like sweet relief.
And then people complain that Spurs affects their mental health? They should be grateful that's the most of their worries.
You are probably the strongest and most resilient person on this forum, so keep it up.

Done - I didn’t see this until A&C posted in Spurs Chat. Hope you get what you need and ultimately some sleep too!

Hi all as some of you know I have a Mollie, most dont know that I also have an Autistic 4 year old called Ted or as Mollie calls him Tedboy. Ted is a non verbal Autistic and as you can imagine the challenges are great, the chief of these for our family right now is sleeping.
Ted has only slept through the night a handful of times in the 4 years he has been alive, he wakes up and is inconsolable, he always wakes up around the same time/s everynight. We have people on it but the powers that be simply tell us sleep issues are an Autistic thing. When he does sleep he has to be in an enclosed space he gets very upset if he doesnt feel safe, we have managed to retro-fit his original cot and that has been holding out for a good while now, but unfortunately tonight he has basically destroyed it.
We have tried him 3 times in a normal bed and it has gone so badly each and every time and always ends with him standing at his stair gate screaming and becoming so dis-regulated he has to be taken out and calmed down. No one has managed to sleep well at all, and with a little girl in heart failure we have to make sure she gets sleep.
We are in communication with Family Fund but the waiting list is currently at 14 weeks and speaking to other families FF are helping fewer and fewer families.
Ill be honest I'm scared as he wont let anyone else deal with him but me, I am normally very good at going without sleep, but this is going into car crash territory.
Specialist beds are so expensive I am not really sure how companies expect your normal person to afford one.
We as a family dont ever ask for help, but now with this and the impact it WILL have in the coming days/weeks I need to see if my fellow Spurs family can help us? I know we are all in a bad mood and dont know whether we are coming or going, and the cost of living is fucking us all over, but literally anything would help.

Thankyou.

Some posts on here really put things into perspective and make you realize that football is a pretty minor part of this thing we call life. What's important are our kids and our families. Is anyone in a position to maybe bring this to the attention of the club in the vague hope they can help out?

I lobbed a tenner into the pot mate in the hope it can go a little way to help out. Good thoughts heading your way from the colonies.

Donated mate. I had a pal whose kid had tuberous sclerosis and presented with many of the issues Ted has. I have no idea how they managed at times but I do think these kids somehow end up with amazing parents.
He also had sleep issues, pretty sure melanin helped a bit for their kid.

Hey brother, I too am a father to two Neurodiverse children (daughter is autistic and son is ADHD).

I'm sure the specialist are already giving you all the advice you need but reaching out to parent support groups like Families in Focus makes a huge difference to your understanding of your child as well as you being able to catch a break from time to time.

Will donate to the cause but if you ever need support around Autism we're all here to help share experiences. Feel free to PM me.

Good luck

I work for a mental health service called Healios, and we specialise in helping children and young people with autism, ADHD, epilepsy etc... While obviously you don't need further help with diagnosis, help and support is always good, right?
