There’s certain players who just look like they have “it.” This guy falls into that category for me. Unless he signs for someone else, then he is just “dogshit.”
He’s the opposite for me. He doesn’t really pass the eye test for me but I accept I’ve never seen this kid play a full game so wtf do I know. There’s certain players who just look like they have “it.” This guy falls into that category for me. I have to agree, that was pretty underwhelming but our recruitment team and more importantly Ange have a really good eye for a player so I'll trust them
His ceiling is just the YouTubers opinion so that doesn't seem relevant to me.What is underwhelming? He concludes his video by saying his floor is basically a CL level player and his ceiling is a world class player (on the verge of being generational). I'll take that any day of the week!
I think he undersells his dribbling ability personally and these videos are very good because they are balanced and actually look at areas of weakness instead of just making out a player is perfect.
I've played against players like Doku though, and they take so long to get anywhere they beat you 1v1 2 twice in the same dribble, you tackle them on the 3rd go and you walk away with the ball and they walk away with a 66.6% take on statisticHis ceiling is just the YouTubers opinion so that doesn't seem relevant to me.
He's 18, so there's a load of improvement in him but he doesn't look as tricky as I was expecting. Doku bamboozles players and that has translated at each level he's played. He seems more direct in his dribbling style and that could struggle at Premier league level. As I say he's 18 and if likes the raw materials he has I'm on board

Hard disagree. His floor is a player who doesn’t consistently contribute in the final third at Belgian league level. That is his current level. What is underwhelming? He concludes his video by saying his floor is basically a CL level player

It’s never a certainty that anyone develops beyond their current level.
Yep good video. I’m not sure from this where the hype is but got to trust the scouting process.
Worth keeping in mind that Pythagoras isn't necessarily always the best judge of talent and will primarily look at the stats and watch maybe one or two games max plus a bunch of highlight vids to create an opinion. He pretty much confirms this when talking about his long ball ability. Re Nusa specifically i do think he touches on some points that i mentioned earlier in this thread about his playmaking potential for a winger being a strong asset. But I also think he's being a bit overly harsh about his dribbling ability when taking into consideration his age.I have to agree, that was pretty underwhelming but our recruitment team and more importantly Ange have a really good eye for a player so I'll trust them
It’s all potential though, people need to temper their expectations.I was replying in the context of the video itself and it being underwhelming. The conclusion of the video was CL level player as a floor which is what I disagreed with when underwhelming was mentioned.
If he became a CL level player I wouldn't say he's underwhelming for example.

I do think that some need to keep their expectations in check, he is a 18 year old winger who has a lot of potential but is still very raw. If he was at Neymar levels he would not be coming to us and he would not still be on the market. Also I wonder how much if any of Neymar Pythagoras saw when he was at Santo's. TBH I never understood the comparison as Neymar is far more flashy a player who will constantly be trying to pull of some trick, that isn't Nusa. Yes Nusa might not be a Lamine Yamal level talent but that kid is 16 and already starting for Barca on occasion, hes probably the biggest young prodigy in world football currently ... again the comparison isn't really helpful.
Make no mistake Nusa has the potential to be a world class winger but needs a lot of development, like most 18 year old players. He has excellent natrually ability and just needs to refine a lot of his skills. Realistically it will be a couple of season's before he is at a level to contribute regularly so people putting him in their hypothetical first 11 for next season need to take a beat IMO. Thats not to say he can't make an impact as a sub but in general he is a work in progress... and he is 18!
Buying him would be a phenomenal addition but one that comes with * like all young players. He is one for the middle to long term not necessarily the short term.

I think I know someone who’ll volunteer their balls.Baffled at those who say he doesn’t pass the eye test. Fascinating how perception works!
I’m gonna put someone else’s balls on the line and say this guy will end up being one of the best players in the world in 5-6 years barring injury.
Not a FIFA player personally but it's just I think those videos look like quite a lot of promising players. I just wasn't enthralled like some are. I want to be absolutely proven wrong and want us to get a little diamond in the rough but I deliberately avoided videos at first as heard a lot in my 40+ years (eek!) but the comments made me want to take a look. It wasn't quite what I imagined. Good luck to him though, I hope he develops into a fantastic player (only with us though lol)People play far too much FIFA nowadays! I remember when we first bought Bale - he had a few injury problems, and there was the "Spurs have never won with Bale" hoodoo that oposition fans already threw at us........but.......even with the limited time he had playing during that period, you could see that he was special. There was just something about him and the way he played that just screamed out "jizz me up!" I think Nusa has that same certain something about him.
Do they really? Why has no one bid(as far as I am aware)? I know there's a shortage of cash currently in Europe but they would find a way (they always do) of they believed his floor was CL and ceiling generational. What I would say is every single elite team has been heavily scouting him and wants him. Ange wants him too and that should provide comfort to Spurs fans and tell them how much of a talent this kid is.
Same thing is said when every highly rated young player moves. Kids in this bracket are always watched/monitored by a good number of higher profile sides and it's just a case of they don't move until they do. With any 18yo it's going to be somewhat of a gamble and it's waiting for a team to take that chance on them.Do they really? Why has no one bid(as far as I am aware)?
