Furious Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has hit out at his "selfish players" for not wanting to play "under pressure" in an extraordinary post-match rant after they threw away a two-goal lead at bottom side Southampton.

Conte said out loud what many of us have been posting for years. if it hurts their little feeling then they should run to their safe spaces until Levy appoints a more softer manager. Man up, take yr licks and come back stronger... Fucking sick of it.

Selfish, to me, is insisting there is only one way of setting up and playing, and refusing to change a single thing when it doesn't work. Selfish is blaming everyone else when it turns to shit and taking zero responsibility. Yes, the players take a large part of the blame, but Conte has repeatedly set them up to fail.

Totally agree, yes there are issues with the hierarchy but Conte is the main problem for me. The manner in which we crashed out of the FA up was appalling but to just blame the players and not take any ownership for his role in that travesty is unacceptable. Granted, he wasn't there in person but we were led to believe that he was still calling the shots from his sickbed in Italy. Everything that he said yesterday should have been said behind closed doors but maybe he's not man enough to say these things to people's faces........who knows???!!!

What I'm wondering is how the hell do we come back from this and achieve anything in the remaining games if he's still in charge?? He's been talking his way towards the exit for months now, surely the time has come for Levy to call it and bring this whole shitshow to an end.

If it was me as a player, I would know he is gone in a few months if it lasts that long, I would give my all for 4th place and make it clear to my team and fans that this is what I am doing.

Perhaps the players are worried if they get 4th Place Conte will remain. That is still no excuse but a reason.
As for Conte, he has refused to play some players as they were not his choice, no consideration to giving some youth players a run out.
Sooner Conte is gone the better. sad days indeed.
I would love to be a fly on the wall at training today :)
