If the link is real, Conte might be looking at his work-rate and defensive output as a bonus.

Moshiri (or whatever their owner is called) does the final prank of his tenure and sells both their best player and their best young player lol

talented player but i'm not sure what he offers that we don't already have in the squad? or how high his ceiling is because I think a lot of what's good about him comes from hard work playing for the club he loves.

he would be on the bench

Also do need HG English players and he's one that is young and exciting with a high ceiling.

FBref says his comparable players are Dwight McNeil and Jack Harrison which are both players we've had soft links with as well, so nice to see that consistency when scouting players

Can anyone even explain what position he plays/what his best position is considered to be? Thought it was basically a winger but I feel like I’ve seen him play a bit and I’m not sure if it’s just their terrible tactics but he seems like he looks gets involved all over the pitch.

If we're looking for a homegrown young winger, I'd rather us take another look at Dwight McNeil. Would likely be a lot cheaper with Burnley being relegated. I like Gordon, but as everyone else has said, they won't sell him cheap.

Interesting tidbit: Gordon, Sess, Parrott, Etete, Austin and McNeil all under the same agency, Unique Sports Group.

Everton fans seemingly valuing Gordon around the £40m mark and wanting circa £100m for the pair which I can't see at all.
Fans will always inflate the value of their players. We'd probably only be doing this because the price is potenially favourable. Maybe £75-80m for the pair with Winks loan obligation of £20-25m next summer.

I know this gets said a lot too but he actually played a fair amount on the right last season. Maybe a potential RWB conversion?

Is this one of those media stunts so Everton supporters aren’t as pissed when we buy richarlison and they buy winks?

like “look at least we managed to keep Gordon”

I was wondering about that.

I suspect what has happened is we are talking to them about Richarlson and we've mentioned Gordon. They've probably said fuck off and that's all there is to it. If we were talking to them about one player then its obvious we might ask about others.

Seems to be a bit of a hybrid player but one who's quick witted, pacy, eye for a pass and makes good runs whilst being pretty industrious too.

I'd sooner give him time to develop in Conte's system coming off the bench than Moura now.

He was their best player against us when we played them at home last season, not that that is saying much. I don't think he's suited to playing in the forward roles in a 343, so unless we think we can covert him in a wing-back or get him on the cheap then I don't see the interest.

Yes granted re fan valuations but nevertheless, you can get the gist of how highly they rate him.

Moura replacement for me who might well be going the other way.

Unless this is us doing them a favour? “We turned Tottenham away from our starlet” … whilst selling us Richarlison.

Very weird for 2 reasons:

1. Being a HG wonderkid he will cost an absolute fortune.

2. He is a right footed wing forward who prefers playing from the left. So exactly the same position as Son and Richarlison…

Yeah, I would agree given the age and HG factor. It just makes absolutely no sense for Everton to sell since from the sound of it that’s exactly the type of player you want around when your team is terrible and your best players are currently being rumored with moves away. Got to think it’d take a huge offer which I’m not sure if it’s warranted.

But, maybe this is a Gil/Sarr type situation where we can add a young player for the future.
