Well i'll be damned!

One must think the 'No Option' was the deal breaker here because I can't see Brighton trumping us on wages and don't envisage Europa League being a big enough pull over us.

Must be Johnson then and we only wanted 1 but lined both up so we could pull the plug on one at the end. That's the only way I can think we would not get this done.

I’m confused
It’s the Tottenham Hotspur Groundhog Day end of transfer window 🪟 show, roll up roll up, get your hopes up, your hopes down, up, down, up, down, shake them all about, do the COYS Daniel Hokey Cokey and we turn around, Dybala - nope, Fati - nope that’s what it’s all about… oohhhhh the Daniel cokey… ohhh the Daniel cokey…

#wetried.

The only reason I could see this is because we refuse to accept a loan only... but still FFFFFFFSSSS
Could well have been the difference. If Barca believe there’s a chance he could get back to his best they’d obviously be reluctant to include an option or obligation.

I won’t throw my toys out of the pram if it turns out that the deal with Brighton is a dry loan. Refusing to develop bigger clubs’ prospects is a reasonable stance for the club to take. We need to have patience with Ange’s project.

Would not be surprised at all if we've pulled out because Barca won't budge on the option we'd want whereas Brighton are fine without one.
