Gil IMO.

Won't be a surprise though, we've been trying to shift him for 12 months now (what a horrendous buy he was btw)

Yeah maybe. Ive just a feeling if we go for both him and johnson then another attacker will go. Shame Sessegnon is injured or else he’d be a prime candidate, especially with forest previously linked to him.

Wasn't odegard initially a straight loan? (sure I remember ripping Woolwich lot for that). As much as he is an odious twat, he is a bit good (I'll go wash my mouth out now..)
If we get fati, do well, he does well, and barca are still a basket case financially, could see a path to then still make it a perm

Don't love the idea. But can see some upside. (esp as also guards against him just being broken)

He was, Arsenal was a bit lucky he wasn’t on fire during the loan stage.

Also think it’s a bit different with Ansu who is a Spanish national, been at the club since he was very young and got to take over Messi’s number 10.

If he is genuine success here, he’ll definitely be taken back by Barca IMO.

Thanks for the ITK @What Lies Beneath. I hope you're right about him being secured long term. It makes zero sense to bring in someone on a 12m loan unless we have an option to purchase at the end.

Sorry to be negative but this gives me whiffs of Gio Dos Santos. Another high profile wonderkid who looked like he had the world at his feet but preferred Faces on a Saturday night.
He's nothing like GDS in personal life, not sure why people mention him

I mean Odegaard I thought was bought by Real Madrid at like 15 or something crazy

Let’s be real though; if Barca want him back, they’ll get him wether there’s a buy back or not. So long as they have some financial levers to pull.

So we thinking he will take rights cf position? Or on the left with son in the middle. I’m just excited to see what he’s got now!

Based on eye test alone he looks about as fast as Kulusevski. Looks to have been developing more into a possession winger since injury.

I haven't watched enough of Fati but if after watching endless comps before and after his injury his bits shared on YouTube doesn't show him as the pacy/tricky winger type.

He is more of an inside forward who is VERY technical and likes to combine with others. Likes to ghost into the box as a second striker where he is a very good finisher with both feet.

I can see him used as a winger in Ange's system as well as a 10 or a ST (more of a false 9). I really would be excited to see him and maddison team up in the areas around the top of the box.

Lastly, just because I was looking it up today:

- 10 Goals, 4 Assists in 51 appearances last season
- However, when taking his minutes played, it equates to just over 20 appearances

Well if only a loan we better not be paying all his wages, are we just here to benefit Barca or what?

I think we can do better than a single non-PL proven player on loan.

I don't mind the deal itself but not if he's the only attacking reinforcement.

Nothing would surprise me tbh.
Sure, I understand where your sentiment comes from, but the reality is we "can do better" if we can sign someone better. But I'm not sure who would make you happy.

Spurs, if we had a spendthrift owner could I guess splash the cash on a player like Vlahovic, but players like him may not want to come to Spurs, may not do well due to the demands of the Premier League and may have injury problems. So, I assume the Spurs board are unwilling to splash that kind of cash on a player but rather strengthen the squad with Kane's sale money (and probably keep some for the club/dividends/profit whatever). Not saying it's right or wrong, just confused which player we should be buying, can buy who would come and score us lots of goals.
