Wonder how Alnwick will do?

From OS

Our Spurs XI team return to action with a friendly against Rushden & Diamonds tonight (Monday, August 4).
The lads face a 7.30pm kick-off at the Blue Square Premier (Conference) side's compact Nene Park stadium in Irthlingborough, Northants.
Clive Allen's squad have recovered well from a heavy defeat at Crawley Town with fine performances against Millwall and Aldershot Town.
Goalkeeper Ben Alnwick returns to action after a slight groin injury and joins Ricardo Rocha, Dorian Dervite, Adel Taarabt and Paul Stalteri in the squad. First Year Academy midfielder Chase O'Neil is also in the 16.
Squad: Alnwick, Button, Archibald-Henville, Hughton, Rocha, Smith, Mtandari, Dervite, Olsen, Taarabt, Stalteri, D Hutton, McKenna, Hutchins, Pekhart, O'Neil.

Bostocks on the Inglethorpe eurofoot tour.

I hope its only because he is legible to play in it and not because thats the group of players who he will be expected to train with etc.. No offence to those other players, but I thought Bostock was more highly rated than to be part of the Youth Development squad.

55mins: PENALTY - RUSHDEN - MISSED. Harsh decision from referee adjudging Archibald-Henville to have climbed on Rankine, but it was immaterial as Phillips struck the spot kick wide.

51mins: GOAL - SPURS. Taarabt played in Olsen down the right, good cross picked out Pekhart, charging through the two central defenders to bury into the roof of the net from eight yards.

37mins: GOAL - SPURS. Great move. Interplay centrally between McKenna and Taarabt, the ball was played wide left to Hutton who clipped in the perfect cross to hand Pekhart the easiest of headers home from eight yards.

31mins: CHANCE - RUSHDEN. Alnwick missed punch from Burgess corner and ball fell to Rankine, 10 yards out, lashed over.

20mins: TREBLE CHANCE - RUSHDEN. Phillips shot well saved by Alnwick, Rankine on the follow up blocked superbly by Rocha before Roberts fired the final chance a yard wide.

13mins: CLOSE - SPURS. Hutchins beat Wolleaston, used Smith's support run to open up a bit of room and flashed 20-yarder just wide.

6mins: GOAL - SPURS. Taarabt turned away from Gulliver and threaded pass through to Pekhart who controlled and hit a low shot across Margarson into the far corner.

Taarabt involved in all the goals again, albeit against the sort of opposition he should be able to excell at, but it's good to see he's not just running up blind alleys...

Bostock is still 16, whilst Danny Rose, a regular England U19 international, who was our big "wonderkid" signing last season, is now 18, and was playing at the youth tournament.

The surprizes for me were that neither Dean Parrett nor P-J Mpoku were out with Inglethorpe's squad. Perhaps they're injured.

That said, Bostock does look genuinely special, and hopefully will develop well enough to make some first team squads later this season.
