Brilliant? Let's not go mad. It's an ok stadium but it's far from brilliant.

How is he greedy? Are you implying that somehow he's going to be personally enriched by this?

WHL ticks all the boxes on my list apart from its size and the fact that we still get told to sit down (not the clubs fault I know). What would make it better for you? more seats and more we have the perfect ground IMO

Exactly what I said, fans have been an afterthought in the stadium design and the whole place has been designed for the suits and thats not right. Fair enough get as many suits inside as possible but from those plans its just like the goons ground and the atmosphere will suffer. Liverpool have got it spot on, the supporters have been given a huge end to generate a great atmosphere and the club has got plenty of spaces to use to generate money from hospitality.

:hello:

We want a football stadium, not some crappy bowl like stadium. I'd like to think the clubs board would actually listen to some input from the supporters and maybe give us some choice on the style of stadia we'd all want, fat chance I know, but wouldn't it make a nice change, might do the chairman some good on the pr front with the supporters as well.

ere, sorry to be a cynic but is the local tansport infrastructure now been sorted?

I thought we would only get an extended WHL if tfl, LDA and all the others got together to sort out the poor transport network?

I would also be worried about TV revenue and the future fragmantation of TV rights which could see football heading for a black hole of no money in a few years, with big stadia and no fans as we are all priced out.

Still, could be wrong but dont all business have boom and bust?

Well technically yes. But are you suggesting we wait until the next recession before we sort the stadium out?

More seats is the main thing but things like transport and stadium design are important too.

The whole place has been designed for the suits and thats not right. Fair enough get as many suits inside as possible but from those plans its just like the goons ground and the atmosphere will suffer.

There's no evidence that it's been designed "for" the suits. Yes, they're better catered for and the design is more integrated but it's a stretch to turn that into what you say.

It might "look" like the immigrants place but the problem (if there is one) is the people inside them. There's nothing inherently unatmospheric about that stadium

I think a belt of punters (a whole tier according to the plans) who don't give a shit if we win or not will effect the atmosphere
