Townsend = Rohan Ricketts. We'll regret turning down £12m when his contract expires and he goes to a nobody team for nothing.

Yeah that's over the top. But hey ho.

Why bother making crap comments when even you admit they are crap ?

Do they add anything to the discussion ?

Yep, he got picked for England while playing for us and was flavour of the month until he got injured. I would imagine he thinks he can do it again here. He knows we can't bring in players unless we move others out. He holds all the cards and knows it.
If he thinks he can displace Lamela, he's being advised badly.
If he wants to play regularly and play for England a move to the south coast looks good for him.
Personally I want to see what MP can do with ALL the player's at his disposal.
Realistically that's not going to happen due to squad size.
This is where the agent earns his crust.

Not necessarily. He thinks he's better than what he actually is. He'll be yearning to get back into the England set up. He can't do that if he's not playing. I think he'll go for regular football if Levy accepts an offer. Southampton would suit him imo.

I agree. Southampton would be a great move for him. Unfortunately I see Roy picking him for the next England squad regardless of whether he's getting first team football for us.

Absolutely.

And that's why he might of been left out of the squad all together yesterday. That can make players rethink.

OR the squad is so big somebody HAS to be left out.... I bet he starts Thursday.. :smug:

Yeah the teamsheet will be interesting on Thursday. Think we can start to ask questions if he doesn't start that one.

You're a miserable **** aren't you? I have not seen one positive post the entire summer. Spare us with your doom and gloom please, it's fucking unbearable.

Isn't there meant to be an "Ignore poster" button or something? Can somebody please tell me how to find it?

Andros to southampton
Schneiderlin to spurs

Swap/cash?

Or perhaps Rodriguez?
If he is in the last year of his contract and is obviously injured then Southampton would be better placed to bring in a replacement now.
An injured Rodriguez unable to play for a while and then trying to regain fitness and firm who would go for nothing at the end of the season makes him almost worthless to Southampton.
But swapping him for Townsend gives them a replacement who can play now whilst we have plenty of cover for him until hes fully recovered.
A win-win for both parties.

One of him and Lennon is completely redundant and has to go. Poch likes a direct option which means one of these two will always have a bench spot but having both in the squad is too much... Personally as an impact sub I think Townsend is a better option than Lennon these days but Andros may fetch a better price.

How the fuck is that miserable?
I'm saying we'd bee mad not to take a decent offer on a player who is clearly being massively over rated because he's English and he can run fast.

I would offer Townsend and Holtby plus £8 million for Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez.

We must be to nice to our players! No one ever want to leave!

It's probably got a lot to do with us seemingly always looking to sell them to the mid-lower tier clubs. Ones that don't have much room for improvement on their positions and/or can never offer the wages we can.
