Fuck 'em! We invented football so we can say and pronounce their names how we like :)

I can't spell for shit, and some of those are confusing. The Zakora one though was just outright fuckwittedness.

When I buy my coffee in town it grates on me when people say "Can I get a... ". It's like they think they are some cool American "grabbing a coffee", although in fairness I say that one. "Can I get" Is a step too far for me. That's just fucking lazy, trying to sound cool talk. Bunch of ****s!

Sepelinig is oevr-rtaed. You olny ralely need to get the fsirt and lsat lteter, yuor biran fgruies out the rset.

FYP :cautious:

Also 'would have' not 'would of'. It only annoys me now as my mum spent 15 years kicking it out of me. I can't help but notice when others do it now. She turned me into a stickler

And maybe while we're about it we can learn that it's 'could HAVE' and 'should HAVE' not 'could of' and 'should of'

Names are hard. Hard to say, and even harder to spell.

But if we all join forces, maybe, one day, we can all spell the names of our players! Like:

Christian Eriksen
Erik Lamela
Emmanuel Adebayor

Steffen Freund

Bonus:

Didier Zokora
Steffen Iversen
Heurelho Gomes
....sen is correct spelling for Norwegian & Danish palyers. ...son is correct spelling for Swedish & Icelandic players.
....lainen is Finnish, ...inho is Portuguese, ...io is Italian & ....yor is incomptetent. :playful:

Well it's Sven-Göran Eriksson, for a start, and unless you happen to be aware of the umlaut above the 'o' and its significance, you'll pronounce the 'g' as in English. That's the way 'g' is pronounced before an 'o' without an umlaut in Swedish. With the umlaut, it's a sort of 'y' sound.

I don't speak Swedish, but I do like Swedish detective novels and films, and checked out the correct pronunciation.
Well, the umlaut also changes the "o" to and "ö", a sound that mostly resembles how you would say the "u" in "hurry". Without ¨, the "o" sounds like "o" in "over".
Enough of me spamming this tread.

I remember some bloke in the Paxton banging on all game about how useless 'Barry Kane' was. Although in his defence this is before he became the living legend he is today,
