I wonder if these latest rumors on Martinez are us trying to make Inter make a choice of which asset they’d actually be most willing to give up.

Perhaps we're letting Inter think we're going to pay big money for Martinez, they then splash the cash on Lukaku, we then turn around and say actually we've changed our minds... They're desperate for cash so we come back in with an offer for Bastoni.

I hope I haven't just blown it for the club by revealing their cunning plan.

Those quotes tell me he’s prepared to sell whoever he needs to, and nothing at this point is off the table.

They sold Lukaku and Hakimi last window and made a transfer profit. They just didn't sell players to us.

Eh? They sold Lukaku and Hakimi last summer for £160m and brought in Dzeko and Dumfries to replace them at a cost of £14m.
