Algeria go from 30-something games unbeaten going into the tournament to losing two out of three and crashing out.

AFCON is weird.

At least City gets Mahrez back. They needed a break.

Shame for Comoros. They pull off a great set of results to get to the knockouts and now they have a covid outbreak that will leave them without a GK.

An exciting finish in the Gambia Guinea match. With Guinea trailing 1-0, Gambia had a player sent off (questionable leading with the elbow for a 2nd yellow) and then hit the post and had a shot saved off the other post in the dying minutes. Guinea then had their own player sent off for a second yellow (another questionable decision). Gambia through to the quarters in their first ever appearance at AFCON.

Comoros dont have a keeper so their left back is starting the game in goal... against Cameroon... so this could be a blood bath... youd end up just hitting them at him...

20 minutes in and Cameroon still haven't had a shot on target.

That’s not a red card…
It’s clumsy, but nothing more than a yellow.

Look at his eyes in the still shot. He's not anywhere near the ball. He knows exactly where he's stepping. And then look at when the var replay starts. He tried to step on him with the other foot and missed.

If he was trying to challenge for the ball and missed it like Doherty did yesterday then fine with a yellow. But he has no chance at the ball and the studs go into the Achilles. Red all day.
