Other than sparking endless talk about baby oil, shopping in Sainsbury's, playing a few minutes here and there as a sub, and a handful of games, what has this guy done in the last 2 seasons to justify so called renewed transfer interest to us ?

If the interest is true, It would seem that the only thing he has achieved compared with other targets is that by being a bit crap he he has not become either too expensive or unobtainable.

There doesn't appear to be any genuine new interest from us. I suggest we spend the day with half of us discussing how he has no end product and the other half saying he could if surrounded by better players.

Judging by the contents of his shopping basket he can't cook, therefore can't follow a simple recipe, therefore won't be able to follow Conte's instructions

I wouldn't be totally averse to this, but surely if we were going to sign him to play RWB, it'd have needed to happen before preseason as he'd need a lot of coaching.

Also, definitely not an alternative to Zaniolo. Not even remotely the same type of player.

With Romero being Romero we really ought to have a very attacking RWB. Whether this guy is the answer or not I don’t know but I’d prefer him to Emerson or Doherty tbh. He’s an incredible ball carrier and we’d be very dangerous on the break with him in the side. Teams would also have to double up on him or accept him breezing past their fullback multiple times a match. His end product isn’t good but he would produce space for our other attackers to up their output

omg, it seems paratici still thinks this guy is a potent striker and still wants him.
What on earth does he see?

I try to look at it realistically and I'm totally fine if he didn't come, however I've always been one that would like to see him here just because I think he causes chaos and fear from opponents.

Now if I take into account the situation I would say if he's our 5th/6th attacker than I am more than happy to have him. Do I view him as an upgrade for Gil in a season that will require insane depth and gives us 5 subs and a WC slapped in the middle... My answer is yes.

To say he did nothing is bollocks.
Managed to beat 3 players and get a decent cross in.

Is it just me that still very much wants Traore and thinks he'll be a massive addition on the right?
Literally "massive".

If he can brought in for cheap, I can imagine worse options than him on the bench to bring on against tired defences

I'm convinced he's still on our radar and is adored by AC/FP.......not popular with the fans but by choice from the folks in charge of the squad.

Yeh bumping this up after listening to the Gold & Guest podcast this week.

For the likely price (£10-15m) and the fact that he offers something very unpredictable off the bench, I can see this happening on deadline day. Is he going to compete week in and week out with Deki for a starting spot - probably not, but he can be an effective player against some of the lesser opposition we're going to face and IMO could be a very effective sub in many games - giving Deki the rotation time he needs this season.

I think he is actually completely predictable. Predictable in his inconsistency.
