Here’s an idea. Let’s sign Renato ourselves. And let’s hijack Edouard. 20M spent. CM and striker solved.

Celtic fans seem pleased that they're getting rid of Edouard. Has apparently been stinking up the place and been the definition of unprofessional and moody for the last year. I'd steer well clear

He wouldn't really solve our issue with creativity. A good player though.
I think we need a CM like him moreso than a creative CM. We have Dele, GLC and Ndombele for the more creative role and we can discuss all day whether they are good enough but none of them look likely to move, so we won't be getting a creative CM in my view. We still need somebody to support Hojbjerg and Skippy though.

Yes to first bit, no to second part! I don't think Edouard is worth 20 million or good enough.

Dele isn't creative enough, GLC I'm not sure and Ndombele should be nowhere near our first eleven despite his talent. Sanches wouldn't improve our first XI, a creative midfielder to replace Dele would however.

Apologies if already posted but Valencia are being linked with Helder Costa who is represented by Mendes.

He could be a direct replacement for Guedes who is also a Mendes client and is linked with Wolves.

That could pave the way for Traore to join Spurs.

Could all be coincidence and speculation but it does seem to line up with some of the previous info we have had about Mendes brokering the Traore deal.

This is probably the biggest potential deal of deadline day, I think if it was close to happening we'd have heard about it by now. If its not being reported by mid afternoon then this deadline day will just peeter out like the last few seasons imo.

Dele - PEH - Sanches would be first XI for me and an upgrade, assuming Sanches can adapt to the premier league

It just seems like we've left it too late yet again - why couldn't we of moved to sign Traore a few weeks ago?

There needs to be so many things that fall into place in order for this to come off.

Everything is crossed!

I'm not a massive Moura fan either, and I'm also able to acknowledge the fact that Traore’s shooting/finishing can be frustrating (his crossing is NOT as bad as many suggest. He puts the ball into dangerous areas that Wolves players fail to put away).

But I can't agree that Moura is twice the footballer that Traore is.

Both players can be frustrating, but Traore does what he does EVERY single game.

Whereas nearly all of us sit on here saying we wish Moura would do what he's capable of every game.

Onions!

That’s fair I just see it differently in that he’s not a very good football player, I wouldn’t even focus to much on his final third stuff. The guy is not a brilliant passer of the ball, he’s not a great shooter and his football IQ isn’t great either. For that reason I see him asmore frustrating than Moura who, imo, has quite a lot of technical ability though like Traore he is a head down kind of player a lot of the time.

The problem with Traore's end product isn't how bad it is, it's no worse than three quarters of the premier League, it's that it's out of sync with his other qualities. He can carry the ball from his box to the other box beating a bunch of opposition players on the way as well as any player in the league and his ability to come away from a gang of three or four defenders with the ball still at his feet is second to none not to mention the fact that nobody ever bullies him.
This.
If it was in sync, he’d be up with the best and be out of our league. His end product is better than people give him credit for. I think he’d cause carnage in a front 3 with Kane and Son.

Ronaldo (Mendes) to United from Juventus
James to Leeds from United
Costa (Mendes) to Valencia from Leeds
Guedes (Mendes) to Wolves from Valencia
Traore to Spurs from Wolves (brokered by Mendes)

Thereby helping out his first and continued client in Nuno and making a shed load of money in the process. Throw in the Renato Sanches cherry on top for Wolves too.

I expect this depends on us stumping up the money required to make it palatable for Wolves though.
