i was just wondering if anyone knew why holtby is allowed to play for us in last 32 but Daniel Sturridge cant play for Liverpool, even though they both played in CL Groups??

I think it's something to do with Chelsea being demoted down to the Europa before he was transferred. Does seem a slightly odd rule mind you given the fact that every other player in Chelsea's squad can seemingly play in both competitions during the same season.

First post ever, but I would assume it is because Chelsea are now in Europa with Liverpool whislt Schalke are still in the CL

Chelsea went down to the Europa League and could potentially face Liverpool,
Schalke stayed in the Champions League and it's no longer possible for Schalke and Spurs to play eachother this season.
