so we lost, at least we should have won, the refs were dreadful, as were the team we were playing, and yeah some players had a bad game, but we looked great in the 2nd half and there was only one team going to score, harry proved we do have a plan B too, and if the ref had got 50% of his decisions right we would have won. so now the pressures off we got all our bad luck, bad decisions and players not playing well out of the way, we can move forward and back to winning ways, bring on sunderland.

agree - good post. i thought we showed real character and team spirit today. The Kaboul ban isnt a big thing as its only 1 game and King should be available for that 1

...and this.
Let's hope righteous anger at this travesty fires them up for the rest of the season.

Adebayor is quick. And is beast. He was everywhere. Even tackling in our box.
Modric looked like he gives a shit.
Bassong didn't do much wrong. Perhaps 3-man defensive formation helped.
Defoe tracked back.
3-5-2 was refreshing.

Oh, after a number of decisions that went our way recently, I hope so many bad calls in one game have exhausted the refs' blunders and we can look forward for one nice winning run from next game on. :))

Spurs should put in a complaint and get it rescinded.

Totally unfair sending off...... The stoke player was even offside and the game should have been pulled up there.

Kaboul is not going to miss any games, if it does happen, march on Soho square and not for the hookers that frequent the FA's offices.... orifices sorry.

I suspect a lot of people up and down the country will be happy now that we have finally lost a game as our unbeaten run has had us in the spotlight the last few weeks.hopefully that spotlight will now move onto another team as personally I dont like us being the focus of attention with all the pundits having their view on why we are not quite good enough to win the league

Can Kaboul miss the Shamrock Rovers game?

I posted on the other thread that we were so good today shut the "brittania" up before the end except for pathetic booing Modric and whistling and any clubs around us watching that will still not sleep easy tonight.

3-4-1-2 looked pretty good, was impressed by Harry for making that bold change as i was thinking wtf when i heard bassong and JD coming on for Lennon and bae and expected 4-4-2 with VDV on the right and Bassong at left back but I was pleasantly surprised.

The FA moved out of Soho Square ages ago... Anyway, the mark of whether or not we are really considered a big club will be next weekend. After just one of those decisions Man Utd would get gimmes from refs for the next month...

We now have 5 home games and 2 away in the league in our next 7 games.

I think we may get some help from refs if our fans shout as loud as the Stoke fans.

Need Kaboul back the Gallas / Bassong tandem has a woeful record.

Yeah I feel like there was no shame in that defeat, the way we played (actually played as opposed to throw ins). We did everything we could and just couldn't get the equaliser. Sure 2 sloppy goals to concede but quite honestly I dunno if there is any fool-proof way to defend them, really hit and miss.

I don't actually mind Stoke's use of throw ins my issue is in the TIME they eat up, from the 1st minute. Every single throw in past the halfway line takes maybe 5/6x the normal time for a throw in. At a time when FIFA and UEFA were saying they wouldn't want goal line technology as it would slow the game down? They need to see this!!

It's ridiculous and part of me feels it just another way that Stoke stop teams playing...and where I think the throws are a smart weapon, the time taken and delaying tactics are not.

I think Sunderland is a banana skin in waiting, Gallas/Bassong issue, plus new manager factor over there. But if we play anything like 2nd half today we will blow them away.

They both hadn't played in a while prior to their game at POAK and they looked alright today even when Kaboul went off
