A group of employees can be poisoned irreparably by a single voice of dissent. Some of the "lessons that have been learned" @ the club seem to have begun with an overhaul of club culture. Gone are the days when the lazy, the constant partiers, and the poisonous personalities can simply show up and keep their spot simply because of who they are and what they have done. Now you must work, play by the rules, and respect club leadership.

We have an extremely young squad and it's important to the clubs future that the youngsters have positive influences from the veterans. If they see Adebayor acting out, being lazy and being Ade yet still getting playing time, it sends the message that if you are good enough it doesn't matter how you behave. However if they see him frozen out despite an obvious need for him on the pitch, the opposite message is sent.

Yes, this could hurt the on-field product in the short term but If you look at the purchases/hires the club has been making it's apparent that we are not aiming to be a top 4 club at the moment. This is a project that involves a manager who can instill discipline and fitness, solid leadership from respected, well rounded veterans and, down the line, a whole golden generation of players reaching their peak together. Not so coincidentally around the same time the stadium is completed. If it comes off we are in for a treat.

Ade is finished with us, no way will he be back in the squad no matter how desperate we are. It's clear he was in the same bad books as Kaboul, Lennon, Capoue etc and will never be allowed to play again. The other players obviously just valued playing a bit of football a bit more so got their moves whereas Ade is happy to take the cash and do nothing.

Ok, I have a plan. I'm going to sneak into his room, drug him, wrap myself in light bulbs so I shine all brightly. Then whisper so he hears it:-

"Ade, ade, can you hear me? This is God, which ever one you are following at the moment... You must put aside your greedy, wage thieving ways, beg me and the Spurs fans, along with Poch, for forgiveness. Play this season. Then fuck off for free at the end of it, only then will I refrain from sending you to Hell"

We have a winner.
We are clearly, finally, working towards a long term plan. I think it's been a very productive window as a first step in that direction.

Ironically, berahino to me seems a personality at odds with the philosophy we seem to be attempting to follow. I'm glad we didn't get him.

Its bullsh1t that it ever got to this stage.

He is a moody fvck but he is also a quality footballer...in fact in terms of football ability he s right up there along with Lloris, Verts, Eriksen and Kane as one of our best.

I think the damage has been done which is a shame because it is not like we have an abundance of talent in the squad atm.

Total scum.

Worst signing ever (c) and should be kept far far away from the players.
Worst signing ever?? In terms of what? Goals? Assists maybe? No on both counts. You must be about the same age as my eldest son if you really think that? My boy is 6by the way

People saying he's a moody fuck, is a bit rich. He was treated like a piece of meat by two egoistic men he clearly wanted to join Tottenham.

We have adebayor until Christmas at least, probably till next July.

In that time we will pay him a hell of a lot of money.

He is proven in this league, more than any striker we've been linked to.

Maybe, just maybe, he should be our alternative target man to Harry Kane this season?

Mad right?

mad as hell dude but then crazier things have happened (y)

Relationships have broken down, we stripped him of his 10 shirt. He'll not strain a muscle for us now.

As a pose to him busting his guts previously ? He was a disasterous signing from the word go & we got exactly what we all expected. It should've been a case of "Great loan Ade, thanks for your time & all the best with your remaining time at Man City".

I can't take SC seriously when it comes to Adebayor discussions.

There are plenty on here who wanted his head on a spike when he was banging them in for fun and saluting the crowd every week. And that was after months of fans demanding he never play again, for one reason or another.

He'll have my support if/when he plays for us again. I believe he can do a job for us still. Like him or not, he knows where the net is.

Agree, only if Son can't do a job up top. Either way, Kane should be prepared for a 38 game league season, no subs, that's 3420 minutes. Speaking of "mad", I think THAT would be mad, but it seems likely.

Does berbatov track back? It's just going to have to be a false 9. Maybe we can get something out of Lamela yet. Bagged 15 playing alongside Osvaldo and Totti.
