More pressure on Spurs and unfortunately we tend to not cope well under pressure.Well now Arsenal and City are out, it's 4th or bust now. No comfort blanket of 5th getting CL anymore.

I wouldn't be surprised if we only got 4 points in our remaining games. But in all likelihood that would be enough for fifth anyway. The Burnley and Sheff Utd wins (yes i know) should be enough. It would mean Newcastle or Man United would have to win every single game then.
We've lost that type of game once, at Newcastle.Already relegated Sheffield utd last game of the season at brammal lane is a major concern. We lose those types of games every time, let's see what the new regime can conjure up

It's a Newcastle thing, not a relegated teams thing.
They have a big game Thursday again they’ll really start to tire soonIn a weird say I wonder if tonight's results might put a bit of pressure back on Villa in the league, knowing they don't have the comfort blanket of 5th either.
For what it's worth I think they'll finish above us, but it's still all to play for.
It's the worst case scenario and certainly can't be discounted. The way I look at it is that, if it transpires, then we will get what we deserve as we really should get 5th at worst from where we are. It's definitely quite likely that City don't win the FA Cup.Is no one worried about finishing 6th (look at Newcastle’s run in). If that happened we need City to win the fa cup or we could end up in the Conference.

Thing is if our defending hasn't vastly improved by next season whatever European competition we are in will be a hard watch. There's 100% a blueprint of how to play against us now and teams that sit back and counter are causing more problems than those that go toe to toe. Where do you think we will face more of these counter attacking sides, the CL or the EL?I'm not ready to see our terrible defence against the champions league teams...
The words 'cricket score' comes to mind
Arsenal win the CL, we come 5th and qualify for CL
or
Bayern knock out Arsenal, we come 5th and qualify for EL
OPTION 2 all day long for me.

But Villa are?I want to get top 4.
But realistically we are nowhere near Champions League level at the moment.
I think scraping in to the top 4, while being an achievement, would cove up several issues (much like under Conte)
