Ange saying today in the presser “we are in the title race until we are not in it” and “why not believe we can win it, why limit ourselves or have fear or what we can achieve”.

Whether it’s this season or next or whenever, I think Ange will win us something big and his quotes will go down in Spurs history just like Bill Nic’s etc. He’s weaving himself into the fabric of our great club and I absolutely love it.

This is classic trap question. If he says that "we are not ready to go all the way" then he looks weak, if he says "I think we have a good chance at winning it this year" he puts pressure on the players and opens himself up to ridicule.

Instead, he questions the journalist and implies that if we are one point behind a team that was top by christmas then why should we remove ourselves from it...

Having just watched the Manure game I think that if (PLEASE!) we have our first choice 11 - we will fucking kill Arsenal at home!

Looking back at previous PL winners mostly over the last 15 years as before that the points totals were much lower (Fergie had it easy) and some seasons had 42 games but taking the last 20 or so seasons quite simply if you want to be fairly guaranteed of the title you need to aim for 90points and around 29 wins (aside from the 2-3 freak seasons when Lpool & City got 98,99,100 pts)

This season we have 39 pts after 20 games. The overall total needed will likely be lower as 4-5 teams in contention rather than the usual 1-2. City have 40pts after 19 games and have been a bit under par so mabye looking at around 85 needed.

Do we think in our wildest dreams we can get another 46pts in our final 18 games? It would need approx 14 wins and 4 draws. Very very tough ask.

what stood out for me... Leicester won with 81

we just need to hope and pray for city liverpool arsenal villa newcastle man u to take points off each other, and the occasional brighton west ham chelsea everton et al upset

so we may not need 85 if we can beat the fellow contenders 🙏

To be in title race this season we needed to win today away at an off form Utd.

Tbh I think we’ve had far too many obstacles this season to be in the title race but let’s just enjoy week to week and see where we end up, next season with some more signings to keep adding depth and less injuries and suspensions we will be seriously good.

A month into the season I said we’d finish second.

Even first is possible, it a potential 8 point lead for Liverpool is a lot.

I agree, top three is where we’ll be.

I weirdly think the injuries this season have made the team better. It has really tested the character and mentality of these players and will have all come through it mentally stronger. Although it has sucked and points have been dropped I feel this experience will be the reason we win something very soon.

It’s great that Ange is being positive and talking about the title. Makes a refreshing change. But realistically we are looking at a race for third, which is still remarkable given the expectations at the start of the season.

No doubt about it for me, with just a slight easing of our injury woes, we're getting top 4.

Well if Gary fucking Neville says (just now on Sky Sports) that we could finish 3rd, maybe even 2nd, who am I to argue with Gary fucking Neville!

We're still fighting for this title!

In all seriousness though;

Brentford (H)
Everton (A)
Brighton (H)
Wolves (H)
Chelsea (A)
Palace (H)

That's a decent set of fixtures coming up for us in the PL. If we win the home and draw the aways we'll be a lot closer to the top I reckon.

We've had Romero and VDV playing 10 games together this season. 8 wins, 2 draws at the Emirates and OT. That is excluding Brentford and Chelsea when one of them have been forced off before the end of the first half.

We can do some serious business when we get our key players back.

Think the Chelsea game is on the Carabao cup final weekend so could potentially be pushed back should they overcome Boro.
If that is the case, 4 out of the next 5 at home could be massive.
