Starts this week. Who knew? A tournament six months before the World Cup? Just what we need.

England (other nations are available) play Hungary away this Saturday at 5pm, then Germany away next Tuesday, and Italy on Saturday 11 June.

More details here.
Hope Harry breaks the record against Germany or Italy, maybe have to wait for the next round of matches

I guess this is a positive thing as it should be a better atmosphere for the kids to attend the game. You just hope that it really is going to be kids going with their parents and that it's policed properly rather than being used as a creative way for the usual crowd to get in.

Pretty funny I’d gone into no football mode and there’s literally games every night for 2 weeks.

The NFL figured out how to make the sport a year long event with the off-season and draft. Football has just made it a 12-month sport by never ending games.

Wales put out a second string team that only just lost narrowly 2-1 to Poland last night. Theyve got their big game Sunday.

This tournament has all the hallmarks of being viewed as the international Carabao Cup.

I'd say the first two versions were surprisingly successful. But I just don't see the top teams carrying that much about this one there's just too much to do between now and the world cup.

Yeah but that is because the schedule is still messed up from Covid. Essentially that’s what it is as the 3rd tournament. But tbh still better than meaningless friendlies and ironically you’re getting better fixtures if you’re in the top group. I think once schedule gets back to normal it will be fine.

They’re just glorified friendlies aren’t they. I have never been a fan.
The idea was that they'd replace friendlies so that International teams would not need to fill the calendar with them. Unfortunately, now FAs have decided to fill the spare time with friendlies anyway so you get this mess.

It's absolutely ridiculous after a long season and a world Cup upcoming season with a huge schedule that this tournament even exists.

What twerp thought that this was a good idea?

Some familiar names in both these lineups. Amazing how Toby & Jan were no longer good enough for us, but still good enough for a top international team.

Belgium XI: Mignolet, Alderweireld, Boyata, Vertonghen, Meunier, Witsel, De Bruyne, Castagne, Vanaken, E Hazard, Lukaku.

Netherlands XI: Cillessen, Dumfries, Blind, Timber, Ake, Van Dijk, De Jong, Berghuis, Klaassen, Depay, Bergwijn.

Mæhle and Eriksen too, who we are interested in. Andreas Skov Olsen as well who has been suggested.
