We got battered by Brighton's second string so not sure if this argument will hold up...
You referring to the away game? We were even more 2nd strong than they were. If you're referring to the home game it was very even. Still think too many returning players is why we are rusty.

Lots of players returning, not enough games to get up to match speed quick enough.

Performances have been mediocre for a while now so I'm not feeling massively confident about this one.
yeah predicting a disappointing draw. It's happened countless times that teams we are expected to defeat have important players missing and we labor to a depressing draw or even lose. Especially coming off the back of two weeks off, I see us starting slow and running out of ideas. But don't get me wrong - I'd love to see us not go back to our old disappointing ways though and actually see us be quick and ruthless

Do you think we’ll ever win again?
If so where do you see the win coming from?

We win Saturday, I’m very confident, especially given the circumstances.

If one of Bentancur, Maddison, Bissouma, Son play close to their best we can win. If 2 or more get to that level we win. Hopefully we worked on our set pieces defensively and what to do when we don't have possession and how to press.

It does feel like this has happened a number of times over the years. However, if we draw on Saturday it will be our first home draw of the season. In other words it will be the first draw in the fourteen home league matches we have played under Ange. That makes me think a draw is not as likely as it maybe feels.

I kind of feel like we've got the disappointing home result out of the way with Wolves, and would be surprised if we had another one straight after. Sometimes that's just strangely how football works. Had we beat Wolves, I'd probably oddly be thinking this is the game we may finally slip up.

Two home games against Wolves and Crystal Palace with no wins from either would be incredibly disappointing.

After the Wolves game, and the significance of this game, ill be amazed if we dont see a big upturn in performance.

Two weeks to prepare and improve the fitness of those who have recently returned.

Its pretty obvious we need to start fast to unsettle their low block.

Think this will be a good game.

4-1 Spurs.

In my head I think we can win. And I know we will again. It's probably mostly due to us not playing for so long and coming off a match we were very much hoping and expecting to win. But I need to see us actually play with the quality I know we have and that we're capable of. Otherwise it is same old Spurs - all potential but no realization.

Sorry, I realize I'm bringing down the mood of the thread but I desperately want us to actually show we are different under Ange.

Obviously they have new manager bounce but after the wolves loss I can’t see us also losing this one, as Glasner said , he’s no magician and their squad without Olise & Eze is one of the weakest in the league so we need to be starting fast, scoring early and going on for a comfortable win here.

Is Eze definitely out?

Change of manager may actually help us. Hodgson would’ve parked the bus for sure and we have struggled thus far against this approach.
Glasner may not be totally gung ho but he’ll be trying to put his own stamp on things; he’s also implementing a new system (3 at the back) which will take some getting used to, particularly with Guehi out injured.
Should be 3 points….

Absolutely gagging for this game. Hate breaks in the season, especially after a crappy result.

Don't know about anyone else, but to me this has felt longer than an international break with other teams playing, some 2 or 3 games in the same time frame.
