Need to do something about players targeting Vicario at corners. Harrison twice makes no attempt whatsoever to get near the ball, in fact he's not even facing play. His only intention is to shove Vicario. If Refs are OK with that, we need to put a player in there to muscle their player out of the way. Everyone is going to be trying to do the same now after Man City and today.

Yeah, especially since this is not just something that has happened to us. It’s happened in other matches too. So like it or not, we need to deal with it. Fortunately it should be something we can fix and also potentially use to our advantage at the other side of the pitch with Richy.

to everyone who was adamant that Bentancur starts ahead of Sarr when he returned from injury, I’m waiting for that apology ;)
Bit weird to expect an apology from people for having a different opinion on a football forum.

We were surprised about the speed in which he came back the second time. It feels like he rushed himself back the second time and still isn’t feeling entirely comfortable. I get it, he was out a long time and had had enough of being on the sidelines but I wonder if more time on the sidelines wouldn’t have been best.
Yeah he looks miles off it

Best way to deal with their corners is to get up the pitch and stopped giving so many away
True, hopefully we can force them back a bit more 2nd half.

Dyche has his tactics fairly spot on so far and Bentancur and PEH and Maddison are all a yard off it in the middle.

This isn't NFL, the notion that our players now need to be linesmen to protect our quarterback Vicario is slightly ridiculous. This is on the officials for allowing this behaviour.
Well we have to adapt or we will be targeted this way every single game.

On the balance of play, lucky to be going ahead. Their set pieces obviously a worry and yes Vicario should be doing better for the their goal but he just feels far too exposed at the moment with the Everton players pretty much able to go about their business in those areas without much resistance. Need more protection for Vicario there.

Midfield hasn't been great and if not a change at half time maybe give it 10 more minutes before we think about bringing Sarr on. Two brilliant finishes by Richarlison, really happy for him.

We are 1000x better when playing aggressive attacking footy but every time we get a goal or two up we suddenly decide it's enough and we should let the other team have a go.

If we played against a team of dinner ladies we'd go 2-0 up in the first 2 minutes and find ourselves desperately hanging on by half time.

Does playing attacking footy and banging goals in get boring or something? If we were 1-0 down we'd be playing them off the park. It's like a psychological hangover from Mourinho/Conte days.
I don't think its that.

I think the opposition reacting to going down and become more aggressive.

Itll be something we figure out in time

Whether we look to slow the game down for a spell or squeeze up the pitch and react better. We will see.

But I don't think we are choosing to slack off.

It also helps when your midfield is not rusty because they would play through the press more frequently

We’re gonna have to play with two strikers when he’s back. Cant drop prime Ronaldo
Son has to play left. We simply don't have any scorers in the wide attacking positions. The right side is up for grabs ATM.

Head injury and he doesn’t stop the game? I already knew when I saw Michael Oliver was officiating that he would do everything in his power to fuck us over, Choirboy-looking victim-of-noncey-priests fucking ****.

So either Ange has given this midfield a hairdryer and told them to wake up with the press or his is blind for not doing subs in the middle, we were dominated
