Chelsea having the American ownership links will be hard to overcome but we have the NFL link up which gets us a lot of coverage in US and Europe which is absolutely unique so have to think thats a big positive.
Some fans will obviously gripe about this if it happens just like they do with concerts etc but all stuff like this increases revenue which will improve our chances of competing on the football side so be a great thing to happen if we can pull it off

We're thinking of having basketball player on our football shirts while we play at an NFL stadium?

It's silly, I know -as I understand the need for the commercial interests and the revenue etc and know how important it is for continued growth. But these things seem like a constant removal of the identity of the Club and game. I just wish football hadn't gone this way I guess.

That's not to say that from a commercial point of view I can't see that it could be a coup. I'm probably just feeling nostalgic.

Can’t wait for the ‘there used to be a football club over there’ comments if we get this investment.

The 'Air Jordan' logo is probably one of the most recognisable logos in World sport.
To get this collaboration would be massive for the club and our exposure across the world.

I don't think it would be on our main kit...just 3rd/4th kit, training gear, leisurewear etc and just extra items similar to what we currently do with Beavertown (hats, t shirts, sweatshirts etc) but on a completely different scale!

Check out the PSG range

The Jordan potential partnership is 100% true, I passed this on to Rob & A&C in October 2022.....

"Nike are coming sometime this week or next to discuss the Air Jordan deal. It is between us and Chelsea. Would be a similar deal to the PSG one where the symbol replaces the Nike logo and the mock ups the club have done are apparently immense. My mate is worried however as Boehly recently employed a load of ex Nike employees so we have tough competition"

Surely it could be both rather than us or Chelsea

Wish this happened during the Poch era. I don't care much for player names on kit, but I would have paid good money for an Eriksen 23 shirt with a Jordan logo.

Again - not disputing the potential commercial good it could do.

It just all feels so inauthentic. Another thing so detached from what I love about the game.

I'm not saying it is a bad thing for our ' brand awareness' - more that we have to use those terms regarding a historic football club.

I know, I should grow up and just accept it.

Also, PSG are a horrible example of what is now a soulless club.

Great call on that 👍 Very interested to see the clothing range if it's to be and the impact it could have on the global recognition of the club. You do see random American celebrities and such wearing some of the PSG Jordan range and I'm pretty sure they didn't give a shit about PSG prior to that.

The info I passed on was in October 2022 when it was one or the other. We are now in January 2024 so a considerable amount of time has passed and of course this may have changed to now be both clubs.

Think of it this way, the ball on our crest is not too dissimilar to a basketball. Maybe we just put the cockerel under it and it resembles the Air Jordan logo.

it's just another brand like new adidas or new balance. Unsure what makes this any different really but maybe I'm missing something

How would you like Visit Rwanda on your shoulder.
Surprised Arse have kept that going after all the publicity about Rwanda. Money is money as they say.

It's literally a sub-brand of our existing kit manufacturer, so I really don't get how/why this would be a big deal.

At this rate Levy will have us looking like a Welsh rugby region playing in the URC
