God I hope he's not out. Presumably we'd have to play Bentancur there if so, and have little but Donley on the bench for the entire midfield. Unless he wants to try something leftfield like Porro who is about the only other nailed on starter with that type of vision/ability on the ball.

Yea and Shaw too apparently - Martinez & Shaw have been their best players in recent times but as you touch on they hopefully not fully up to speed. Werner going to be a good test for them.
Ten Hag said today that Antony and Eriksen will be available as well

Yea would have to be the dreaded Skipp/PEH double pivot with Bentancur further forward and hope Werner,Richy & Johnson can do the damage.

Our bench would be ridiculously light.

Thank god we signed Werner & Dragusin otherwise we’d have no chance.

Hope Kulu is fine but never a good sign if misses training.

If Kulu is out or not fit to start I’m not sure what we do. Bentancur as a 10 I’m assuming as he’s played there in past with Skipp coming in alongside PEH. Not very inspiring. Can’t see Donley given a chance and I can’t see him experimenting with Gil who are our only two other options really.

Hope it’s not true, really don’t want to see both Skipp and hojbjerg in the team, one we can get away with but both will really change how we play for the worse.

Maybe Donley starting and Santiago on the bench.

That was only today wasn't it...

No Kulu, lo celso or maddison and we'll really struggle from an attacking standpoint.

If we're forced to play bentancur further forward, I expect we'll struggle with ball retention and be less progressive and slick with the ball, inviting pressure and being less good at playing out under said pressure.

Either way, it all points to a hard day in the office for this one if the above players are all out.

That would kill us completely, leaving donkeys at the back of the midfield.
Better to keep Bentancur as 6, and play Donley or even Bryan as 10.

Vicario
Porro , Romero, VDV, Udogie
Kulu, Bentancur, Hojbjerg
Johnson, Richarlson,Werner

If Kulu doesnt play...ofcourse then Skipp comes in.

Presence of Kulu for full game is 100% needed if we have to get a win tomorrrow. Without him, I see a big defeat

I can't see a BIG defaeat under any circumstances. We might lose but we'll definitely be well in the game.

Not ideal but gill in the central attacking midfield role maybe???
I know he wouldn't do it unless forced but I was going to say Gil in the left No 8 role (instead of PEH or Skipp) before any talk of Kulusevski ill.

He is quite a technical player and wouldn't have to rely on raw pace so much as he does on the wing. Would draw a lot of fouls. Then Kulu can stay in the right No 8 spot

i.e.

----- Bents -----
-- Kulu --- Gil --
BJ --- Rich --- Werner

Then if Maddison has some minutes in him that's a straight swap for Gil and PEH and Skipp to come on and see the game out

But I know he'll play PEH or Skipp (n)

If Kulu is out, bizzare as it may seem I’d rather Porro in midfield than Skipp & PEH as a duo

Emerson RB & Bentancur at 6 with Porro & PEH would be better than any team with both Skipp/PEH in 2 of the midfield spots
