Think he's bearing the brunt of us having the best striker in the world for the last ten years; any other striker looks worse in comparison. But he's been good this season and will be good again.

I'm his biggest sceptic, but 5 goals in 5 games is a point proved imo, and if you look back over the season's highlights so far, he's involved in a lot more than you think. Consistent improvement.

Credit to him for getting back in the team. His goal haul in December was also impressive (and much needed!).

To deny he was anything but toilet last night vs Burnley would be a complete an utter lie.

He rushes so much of his work and his technique can be so erratic. He’s a very hard watch and very ‘un-Brazilian’ like with his style & flair.

Recent upturn in form aside, I’d still be looking to move on in the next 6 months (if the deal worked financially).

His improved, but he misses way too many chances.

He was signed as a 2nd choice and that's what he is at the top level. Either a starter for lower team or a squad player for a top one. I'm happy to keep him as we need depth especially if we get into Europe again. However we need a better 1st team starter either on the left with Son central or up top with Son left. I still think we should look for a true number 9 as that will just add a new dimension to our attack. Only reason to sell Richarlison is if Veliz or Scarlett come good enough to replace him. We still haven't technically replaced Kane in terms of his position. Get another forward and keep Richarlison then we will look very strong up top.

He was signed as Kane's replacement. We knew Kane was leaving. Spurs don't spend £60m on a backup

The goals he has scored recently has been as unconvincing as our early season form under Conte when we were winning but playing poorly. That split opinions on here, too.

Despite the goals, his overall performances have been poor and wasteful. He lacks the composure required to be the first choice no.9 of a club fighting at the top end of the table. People will fight his corner and say “yeah but he’s scored 5 in 5” but that entirely masks the fact he’s missing a ludicrous amount of easy chances in front of goal.

We were obviously blessed to have Kane who would finished half chances pretty routinely but that shouldn’t excuse the fact Richarlison is garbage and will miss more often than score.

The thing I’ve realised is he gets worse the more time he has. He has scored one goal for us that wasn’t first time, and that was the two touch effort against Newcastle. Every other one is turning in a cross or a header. Just seems to lose his composure when he has time to think - see the chances against Everton (when he should have taken a touch and put it near post) and the early chance last night (when after a great bit of movement and great first touch his second touch took him away from goal followed by a scuffed finish)

Anyone remember It's A Knockout, where people would be clumsy as fuck and fall over wearing silly costumes? That's what Richarlison reminded me of last night.

For me, he has to get the rest of the season to show what he can do. He's scored 5 in 6 and been very good since his return.

Ange can assess if he sees Richarlison leading the line for us permanently in the summer.

We've been blessed with having Kane and realistically no one was going to really replace him.

Richy’s work rate, team work, tracking back, pressing etc cannot be faulted but he lacks the technique to reach that next level unfortunately, some of his finishes are so weak.

Was pretty bad against Burnley.

Scuffing his shots and looking low on confidence.

Yet we kept trying to get Kane to sign a new contract
yup, I really do think Richy was kind of our big money spending saying we are here with the big boys after getting Conte as he was coming in as our 4th attacker at the time. Much like Liverpool have a bunch of expensive attackers even though they already have their front 3.

I don’t think we are going to find someone on that next level. There is only Haaland in the PL that is, Watkins is a better finisher but lacks the other part of his game.

The way to improve is to play Son back through the middle and find a wide forward. Whilst keeping Richy or Werner as his back up

Eventually with good scouting we may find someone who can develop into a “next level” player for us. But I don’t know who that would be right now. Certainly expecting someone to replace Kane’s output is asking for a lot. If Richarlison can score double digit figure this season he would have done ok.

Even strikers who are remembered fondly here (like Keane and Defoe) did well to hit double figures in the league each season. For example I think Defoe’s highest scoring season in the league for us was 18 goals. For Keane it was 16. Berbatov’s was 15 for us. Even Bale only had one season where he scored double digit league goals for us.

But I suppose we’ve got so used to Kane scoring 25 + goals every season that we forget how rare that is.

Defoe and Kane you always felt where a threat, often you don’t with Richy

they also shot!

we get in to good positions just don’t shoot

That’s such a daft analysis though. Felt they are a threat Vs don’t.

Richarlison is scoring goals, working for the team, and even setting them up. He is having a decent season. He isn’t setting the World alight but he is contributing. As a fan base we are awful to him, starting some strange narrative around Johnson not being good enough (even though he is contributing) and pretending that it’s easy to find someone who scores 20+ a year
