Was it just me imagining it, or did the commentators say "Mings" more than any other word during that match?

He did have a good game to be fair

Did they field more than one of the Mings family? Sounded like he had a great game, despite the score.

Levy, please give Eriksen what he wants. The touches between Eriksen and N'Dombele were exceptional Also Kane was ok!!!!

Don’t think wages are the issue, just that he wants a change of scenery. Hope he has second thoughts and stays. Madrid don’t really want him.

I think we should play 4-2-3-1. Plus I know many people are always on lamela case. He was decent today, some good through balls and also hard work as it resulted in 2nd goal. While lucas was anonymous but not criticized as much.

Out of interest, what did Eriksen do? I just thought we changed our shape, pushed harder and Aston Villa's energy levels fell. Or are people on the wind up?

Big difference between Tottenham without Eriksen and with him.

I also think the shape as well, yes Eriksen helped change the game, but Ndombele look so much better in the middle. Just don't need a repeat of that first half. I don't know who has told Poch about the diamond, maybe SAF over lunch did it to try and get us out of the top 4.

What I learnt today is that we still lack tactically nous when it comes to breaking down a deep defence and that our season hinges on whether we keep Eriksen or not.

Is almost scary how important Eriksen was to that, of course the change of shape was a contribution to but Eriksen adds so much.

4-2-3-1 has to be the way to go.

Also you could see how much more confident Ndombele was after he scored, I think we'll see so much more from him when he plays with more players on his wavelength and with better movement ahead of him. So much to come from him I think.

Can't wait to see Lo Celso added to the mix! Hopefully alongside Eriksen too.

Anyone else think there's a player in GKN? He must be our fastest player. There's something there imo, he has all the physical tools. It must be his attitude.

Think tanguy struggled first 30, but grew into it. CE completely changed it though, was turgid at best until he was on the pitch, worse I’ve seen from Danny in a long long time!

You have to be glad the outcome proved the pessimists wrong but there were some worrying signs. Stating the glaringly obvious, CE changed the game. You have to hope that there is some way to motivate him to stay.
