The two quotes are all over twitter atm-

Isn't it fortunate that Bale decided to spurt out such an inappropriately timed, yet perfectly phrased nugget of tabloid gold in earshot of someone who ran straight to Radioestadio to spill the beans.

Great post and absolutely spot on.
Few other things to reinforce- Gareth doesn't have an ego problem.
Daniel and Jonathan B are very close and the original deal for him to go to RM was crafted well for both parties a long time before it happened.
All about doing the best deal on wages for us too and the impact that has on the rest of the squad.
How many wingers do we need as MP prefers EL over LM !! I know i know i know.
Personally i would absolutely love this to happen too!!
I so hope it's Lamela who goes and Lucas is given his chance. He's class. Fwd options of Bale Son Lucas and Kane would be scary for the rest of the league / Europe

I was more surprised that Zidane just blurted out how much he hates Bale to show all his cards before trying to actually get rid of him!

To be honest if an employer chooses to pay me 17m a year I'd be happy to sit on the bench and play golf. He has won everything and will always play for Wales.

I can't see anyone bar Manure paying those wages and even that is if Sanchez fucks off... And who in hell will be paying him 500k a week.

Bale is in a quandary but for some reason I have a feeling we will bring him in even on loan on a free and we pay him 10m or so for the year.

I’m more surprised Bale worked out that he needs to be paid 17m net per season just while he’s lounging in the changing room

The disrespect Real have shown him really does mean Gareth should dig his heels in and be difficult with them. Do I believe for one minute that he wants to stay there in a place where he's treated so bad? Of course not. But he has to be sensible, his career is only so long and he's sitting on his retirement and a huge nest egg for his children with that contract.

He won't expect to not have to take a paycut where ever he moves to but he won't make that public to let Madrid off the hook. I hope he gets fully paid off and then can go to a club where he gets to showcase his talents. I do hope it's back with us. Anyone thinking his injury record or ability is beneath us clearly is in denial over what an asset he is. He's a match winner. Players with his ability are the difference between winning and losing. I'd much rather invest in those special players and "take a risk" on someone like that than any other type of player.

I don't think you need to worry about his kids going without beans on their toast.

****ish from Zidane today to not let him play the final home game 2-0 down to Betis.

Zidane even said if he was allowed a 4th sub he would not have put Bale on. 2-0 down at home and Bale is their 2nd highest scorer.

I’d love to see Bale take Real to the cleaners.

It’s the climate we are in where these massive contracts have been dished out.

He's obviously been told/agreed to marginalise players who they don't want there next season. They need to get rid to make space for Hazard, et all

No time for sentiment, even if the club are treating him poorly.

I think you can marginalise a player and allow them 5 minutes to say goodbye in their last game and say he doesnt fit in your plans, He has been a huge part of their success in recent seasons.

I agree but it looks like they are trying to portray him as the bad guy and probably trying to make him feel desperate to leave. If they leave the door slightly ajar it gives him an advantage.

Look there's no point Bale digging his heels in, Real have laid their cards on the table.

Yes he'll get a ton of money being stubborn live happily ever after but the thing is Bale already has all the money he needs so what's the point being greedy. What is the point of sitting on the bench at Real Madrid.. play football would be the advise i'd give Bale.

It's better for Bale to come to an agreement with Real, screw what the the agents are saying to him just leave and play football. A talent like Bale really should be playing so that supporters of football around the world can see him and the best players come up against each other regardless where he ends up.

Money has really muddied the game.

I’d love Bale back, but just can’t see anything other than him turning up at a team with bigger pockets than us.
