I’m not sure Eriksen will play in this one. He’s had a lot of football. It’s so annoying lamela’s body is letting everyone down. Swapping those two would have been a no brainer Saturday.

We’ve just got to hope man city’s players are in a bad way and can’t face the game.

Spurs confirm that Erik Lamela (hamstring) and Moussa Sissoko (groin) are being assessed. Harry Kane (ankle), Serge Aurier (hamstring) & Harry Winks (groin) are continuing rehab, while Eric Dier (hip) & Vincent Janssen (ankle) will return to training on Friday

I have a feeling we will rest a fair few, mentally moreso than anything else although the majority got a rest against Huddersfield.

I think Verts will be rested as will Rose and perhaps Wanyama and Eriksen.

The issue is, we dont have many players available I mean Skipp, KWP and Llorente I think will come in

Anything other than a win would be Spursy.

Wrong. You'd have been right not too long ago but things have changed now.

Winning when we're not supposed to. Qualifying when we're practically out of something. Battling and showing nerves of steel while displaying balls of gargantuan proportions. Defying all the odds & silencing every doubter out there.

That, my friend, is now what being Spursy is all about.

Slight chance for Dier to be on the bench then.

Agreed, it was tongue in cheek.

I think the mental, emotional & physical effort of last night almost certainly means a few will have to be rest on Sat & it will be an opportunity for a few to step up & stake their claim to be a 1st regular.

Pep will change quite a few as well, but their replacements are a bit better than ours, so I'm expecting a bad day.

City will win comfortably. but the players and fans will still be hurting.

i do expect headlines to say "no VAR to bail Spurs out this time"

but who the heck cares... we beat city and earned our spot in the champions league semi final. i'll enjoy that for a while.

I think we need to get the first goal and defend a whole lot better than last night.

Captain Obvious, out.

Providing he plays of course, it would be nice to have a semblance of a plan for De Bruyne this time around. Every single time he was the spare man in the right halfspace to wreak havoc, as some said it's like we were totally unprepared for it and hadn't done our homework.

What's to say last night didn't also take so much out of City, though?

Losing like that must be a heck of an emotional, mental and psychological drain, not to mention the physical effort put in, too.

They really could need some serious picking up after what unfolded last night.
It definitely did take a lot out of them. The difference is they had Stones, Fernandinho, Sane, Mahrez and Jesus on the bench who are capable of starting with fresh legs. They've also got the perfect opportunity to get revenge and they've still got the Premier League to challenge for, it's not like their season ended with last night's loss.

We literally had a keeper and 4 defenders on the bench because our attacking backups consisted entirely of Llorente.

Oh absolutely. I was just attempting top point out that last night could've had quite an affect on them. Not just physically, but also mentally, emotionally & psychologically, too.

As we are running out of fit first team players.
I’m not expecting too much.

It'd be the ultimate slap in the mush from Poch to Fraudiola if we played a second XI in order to rest players for the rest of the PL and the CL... As though we completely don't care about them at all... Which we don't of course.

And then keep saying in each interview and press conference "well, we've got to think about the champions league semi final. Yes, the semi final. Of the Champions League. We're playing in that. Yes. Yes, that's the champions League semi final.

Semi final.

Champions League.

We definitely need to play 5 at the back against City. Their main tactic is to play their front 3 really wide to spread our back four and then de bruyne, da Silva or D da Silva cut inside. Or they suddenly switch play and their wide player is one on one against one defender. If we play 5 at the back and our FBs stay in our own half, we can stem the play in midfield and keep them out. Then it's all about the counter attack!!
