If Fulham go down, I reckon we could get Sessengon for about £50m ... but not sure whether we see him as a full back or a winger...don't think he's played as a fullback at all this season.

He's also not played like someone worth £50m & I'd hope we're steering well clear if they think they can demand such a sum for a player who really hasn't done anything in the PL.

I'd still have a lot of concerns about the technical side of playing at the back like positioning and playing in unison with the rest of the back line. It's not just something you'd expect a player to pick up easily. It takes plenty of experience which Sissoko hasn't got.

I understand your point about the positioning , unfortunately the two ‘senior’ RBs in the team have had similar issues in the past, even with their greater familiarity in that position.

Agree that he’s not worth anywhere near that figure but if Fulham are relegated, they won’t get that figure unless the likes of City et al come in.

I suspect if we went foreign we could buy two new fullbacks for the cost of either Wan Bissaka and Chilwell.

Rose is as good as Chilwell anyway.

Surely Grealish has a gentlemen’s agreement with Villa based on him staying last summer. No promotion then he can leave for a fixed fee? Not much of a fan myself but if Poch wants him etc etc

Brigning in starting quality HG fullbacks would essentially completely alleviate any pressure we feel from that.

Our midfield needs an overhaul in the summer, but the type of midfielders we sign also depends on the formation we favour next year.

If we go with the more try and tested 4-2-3-1, then we need players who are more comfortable at playing at the base and occasionally moving forward when there’s an opportunity.

But in a 4-3-3, you need a lynchpin type who’s happy to sit in front of the back four; and you also need dynamic, box-to-box types flanking him. In recent years, we’ve seen an evolution in that latter type, with the more athletic and dynamic no.10s now dominating the game (De Bruyne being the prime example).

trust me his much better than Maddison people keep going on about. What I love about Grealish he carries the game ball forward and has a lovely action of receiving the ball on the half turn...he is similar to Dembele very difficult to knock off the ball to.

Brooks Grealish we should get them both.

I don’t think Maddison is all that either to be honest.

Brooks? Now that’s a classy player. I’d love him at ours

Thanks for updating this, list man!

I watch more english footy (including efl)so my preferences are perhaps biased towards HG but i feel there are some good options on this list that would improve/Freshen up the squad.

None of the gks here are realistic. Lloris has been more inconsistent this season and is now a level below the top european keepers compared to 2 years ago. But it isnt a priority upgrade.

Fb - good options here. I'd be satisfied with any from aarons, atal, lewis, roberts, awb, Gaya and lato. Like sessegnon but not as a fb.

Cb - ajer i like but not convinced he's a cb. Like andersen, kelly and lascelles too. Tbf i dont know many of that list outside of the english based players

Loads of good cm's and am's on that list. Even if the scouts used this list only, upgrades can be found here including HG players. No excuse for not strengthening these areas in the summer.

I think adams is a real talent, going back to that semi vs sheff u. King, joelinton and maupay also intrigue me as options for the front line either side of kane.
