Connor is so clearly not a boxer. His weird foot placement, he's a 'natural' kickboxer with a good counter straight left hand. On the bag, in 'boxing' mode he looks awkward, just as he did when sparring the saffa boxer.

Amir Khan has been linking himself with a fight against the Irishman. Khan would destroy him. As I've said from the start, Bradley Skeete would beat him with ease, winning every round for as long as it lasts, in the process. Obviously such a fight doesn't make any sense to Connor though! Nothing like enough money in that!!!

Kovalev on the heavy bag is scary, just pit patter, then suddenly boom with no effort. No thanks!

Ward V Kovalev 2 signed for June.
I watched the first fight again, it was a lot closer than I initially thought.

I think Ward wins the rematch for a couple of reasons.
He had Kovalev worked out in the second half of the fight.
Kovalev cannot adapt or make adjustments.
Kovalev is too emotional. Kovalev has been calling Ward a piece of shit and all sorts of other stuff. He acts like Ward paid off the judges.

Kovalev said he overtrained that's why he got tired. In other words he blames John David Jackson. Come the fight I reckon he will disregard what Jackson said.
Mentally Ward is definitely in his head.
He's going there to knock him out and that will play into Ward's hands.

Ward wins wider this time. As you say Mullers, he grew in to the fight and was figuring him out by the time it ended.

Fair play to Ward. He gets grief for some reason, but his resume is superb. Better than any other super middleweight I can remember ( I know this is at light heavy, but still... )

I watched that lad daniel dubois last night. Looks scary for a 19 year old, any one else seen him?

https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/daniel-dubois-improves-to-2-0/74045

He's very young and got plenty to work on. The right hand is a bit ugly and he steps in with it, but the jab is very crisp and nice when he uses it. Luckily it's a lot easier to work on the right hand than the jab! There's lots of talent there to work with though and 19 is ridiculously young. He only had 5/6 senior am fights I think.

Definitely one to keep an eye on. Sparred lots with Joshua and done well apparently according to rumours. Joshua goes fairly easy on the younger lads and ams though, as he should do.

Watching a fight at Wembley, you'll basically just be watching the tv screens anyway

Only reason to go live without basically being ringside is to say you were there and for the atmosphere

It will be a worse viewing experience than watching at home or in a bar for sure

I decided against going personally but I can understand wanting to be there for the atmosphere and to be a part of such a big event so to speak, but because I want to be able to watch the fight live in better detail I am not going to the event to watch from a distance

Was that fight on just now on BT Sport real? Guy was a paid punchbag.

From this weekend, Yarde vs Snow

What time does anybody think the big fight will actually start Saturday?
Got to start planning now as leaving Kent early Sunday for NLD.

Wembley Stadium is pretty strict on events closing at a certain time so I don't think it will be much after 11as it is scheduled for 10.30

Sooo, everyone seems to be backing Joshua but they just had a boxer on the radio saying Vlad will win, reason being Joshua has weighed in heavy so is clearly going to try blow him away early on, his thinking was that Vlad is too quick and too experienced to let this happen, Joshua will punch himself out early and Vlad will win later on.

Found it an interesting insight as literally everyone is going for Joshua.

I am a little on the fence but siding with Joshua.

Just think Vlad's age and 18 months without a fight will cost him.

I'm not a huge boxing fan, although I've followed Joshua's career pretty closely, but am I right in thinking this is the first proper test AJ has had since turning pro?

Definitely. He has only been rocked once and that was against dillian whyte, but this'll without doubt be the hardest fight of his career so far.
