This is when it would be prudent to exercise the option for further Year plus, then negotiate new contract middle-end of 2017/2018 season. That would be prudent, if the long term aim is to keep him. If not, then sell him endow next season.

His +2 years has already been exercised so his contract runs out in 2019, if anything it's gonna be either a 4/5 year, that way we'll get maximum if we sell.

I seem to remember us dicking about for months with Kyle Walkers hip injury before deciding it was necessary to have surgery. Did that happen or did I dream it??

So that's Toby, Lamela and Rose all having scans which showed nothing at all that subsequently missed months on end. WTF are they using? X-Ray glasses bought from the joke shop??

Who was the person who had the first bit of info that he was going to be out for the season, can anyone remember?

My hope:

Poch comes and out and calls out the WUM merchants and offers Erik a new contract.

The skeptics are seriously throwing a kid under the bus and starting rumors and have ZERO clue. The only business we have as fans is to root for the home team and to support the team IMO. You might not like a player on the pitch, but don't go creating nonsense that could damage someone long term.

What a boost it would've been to have a fit Lamela back for the run in. Still at least the operation proves he wasn't being a twat and hopefully he will come back stronger from this!

Hopefully Kane and Rose won't be out much longer what a boost it will be when they come back!

The Lamela hip injury reminds me a bit of Dembele's - He seemed to struggle with it for a spell and even came back (probably at 70-80% of his fitness) and ended up needing surgery in the end i think.

Not being a physio i don't know how easily the hip can be injured and how long a full repair takes but even with my childlike understanding of Dembele's issue, it seems it's not always a straightforward fix.

What if we're at an away game?
