“I don’t accept we will have failed if we don’t make it next season.”
Daniel Levy
I remember talking to you about this during pre season last year, i also said 7th, boy that was a long way off wasent it?
As for next year, well we have taken 2 steps back this year, theres doubts over players who got us into 5th, lennon, jenas, chimbonda, all of whom could be on the way out and have lost value this year.
Berbatov was always going this summer, and this season has only reinforced his desire im sure.
I rate Ramos but i cant see anything higher than 8th next year, cos its more ripping out key players and trying to replace them all over again, then taking time to gel etc.
So 8th next year, and liverpool are the weak link of the top 4.
u said top 6..

25-07-2007, 10:12 AMthink we will finish 6th this season. top 4 to remain the same as last year, and oen of the money bags clubs beating us for 5th, man city, newcastle or west ham, im sure west ham and city will spend another 20-30 million in january.
14-05-2007, 12:54 AMwe have the 5th best team as of right now, so will finish 5th next year, im ok with that, hopefully assnal will have a stinker of a season and we can steal 4th, then maybe next year we can buy the next level of players.
we wont finish in the top 4 next season.. unless. one of the top 4 have a crisis.. im talking maybe jose leaving chelski.. wenger leaving assnal.. along those lines.
it would require serious serious investment to bridge the gap within one transfer window, as much as i respect what Levy is doing, he wont push up the kind of funds to buy the players that will take us there, the wages alone are too much.
Berbatov seems a rare breed, theres few like him who are that good and will join us. IMO.
top 6 next year again.. and im ok with it, we have to be thinking very long term, not even 4 or 5 years, longer.
