welcome back any time eric!
You Joey Barton ?Good riddance. Should have gone 6 years ago. Useless
are you able to link this video pls? i cant seem to find it!Last year or so turned sour, but I’ll never forget that interview after we smashed city, what so many of us thought and so many before him were too media trained to say, and perfectly encapsulated that time as a spurs fan. Fuck I miss those few years, I w slagged him off like many many others, it the guy has been here 10 years, and genuinely cared.
you could tell the mistakes he made hurt him, I’m sorry for the bad vibes towards the end Eric, but a truly heartfelt thank you, for being part of the best few years I’ve had as a spurs fan.

He was a good lad, he was Spurs through and through.
A shame he won't get a proper goodbye, but good luck to him. A great servant, and by all accounts a good guy too.
Fond memories will stay with me of him, absolutely clattering some Chelsea players at the Bridge right at the top alongside his debut goal.
Love this
So does he only have 6 months left on his deal? Just because he says goodbye etc but it’s a 6 month loan with option so if Bayern don’t take it isn’t he coming back to us for another year or he becomes a free agent then?
249 now!
Derryank?!Max Rushden in the Grauniad with a decent write-up on his 'favourite Eric since Bananaman'.
Maybe decency deserves success. To Brendan-Rodgers things a little, Dier appears a man of great character. The word consummate is overused, but it stands with Dier. These past few months at Spurs must have been very difficult. His arrival at the Allianz may surprise a lot of people, but there won’t be a Spurs fan who doesn’t wish him well. It would be a testament to him if he has another moment and this time it involves lifting a trophy.
This post seems to have enraged many but my assumption was that it was a joke! Even as someone who wanted Eric gone and was delighted to see him linked with and subsequently shipped to Bayern I can acknowledge that he has not been rubbish for six years! Indeed, he was our most consistent defender before Romero arrived and without him at the back we were very weak. He played a key role in Conte's first season when we got top four over Arsenal. It is the last couple of years where his form has dropped off and he has started to make fundamental errors and began switching off at key times. It is also clear that he will not thrive in a CB pair in this system so another challenge needed to be sought. I thought his parting video message was extremely eloquent and gracious, showing his class as a human. Enjoy Germany Eric and all the best to you.Good riddance. Should have gone 6 years ago. Useless
