Jesus some of you are like that bird we’ve all been out with who just won’t shut up about her ex.
It’s over, he’s moved on and so have we.

Good luck tomorrow, H...fill your boots.

Yes and no.

Kane up front would be scoring at will.

But, the reality is - it was clear to Spurs at the beginning of the summer that Kane was leaving - and we did transfer business with that in mind. We would not have Maddison, if Kane was staying, imo.

I think the totality of the circumstances - a complete change in culture, including Kane leaving, has lead to the the good start.

But, if the question is simply - would we be playing well with the same team plus Kane - we would be playing even better with Kane.
Agree with all points made. I do wonder how him being in the team would’ve affected Maddison with him dropping deep. The pressing side also another possible issue. But the goals would be a thousand a season.

I actually think the system is better suited without him. That doesn't mean we wouldn't be better with him: he's a world class player.

But it means the net impact of him going isn't as bad as it might have been. And we've bought well.

Honestly, it looks like it might turn out to have been a reasonable/good move for everyone.

I tell you what though - he dodged a bullet with Utd. Was fairly clear that was his preferred destination. They'd be a sh*t show even with him there. He got very lucky with that one.

Interesting that some say he isn't suited to Anges style of play. I know he didn't get exposed to it for very long but didn't he score 4 goals in his last game for us under Ange?
I'm in Munich at the moment and will be cheering him on. Grateful for all he did for us and wish him well at Bayern. Of course, I reserve the right to change my opinion of him if he comes back to play in England for anyone else but Spurs

Pretty reasoned outlook. Some elements don't suit him in terms of pressing, it his goalscoring prowess would have shone in this system.

Completely agree on United though. I think everyone thought they were back after last season, yet they are a complete mess. Internal struggles, multiple police investigations on their players, fall outs and a pretty shocking start. They are lucky Wolves can't score as they were completely outplayed.

Would have felt weird Kane leaving us to a club who in the most part have been worse than us for the past decade. It's only the occasional domestic trophy which masks that, which makes it all the more painful how close we came multiple times.

Man U got pushed around by the goon and us, and they ran Bayern close. The closest H will get to the Champions League trophy is the time he walked past it in Madrid in 2019: no chance this Bayern team wins it.

Surely you can see that ‘their fans’ is a bit of a distant remark?
You are correct, grammatically it is a 'distant' remark. He may feel he needs to fully embrace the Bayern fans by keeping his love for this club at arms length (especially given how weird the Germans got over Levy not bending over for them), this doesn't make sense as we're not rivals in the same league, or it could just be that footballers are not the brightest people out there and didn't know how to respond?

Best post I've seen on here in recent weeks.

P.S. I watched Harold this evening, despite not giving any fucks. My loathing of United - and the expectation of them being destroyed - transcended that.
