It’s about time one of our scummy rivals did us a favour on the transfer front rather than tickling each others balls for a change

Quick update: We've started talks with Chelsea for Gallagher tonight. They're looking at 45 million plus potential add-ons, pending Hojbjerg's departure. The discussions are ongoing and haven't progressed significantly yet. Deal in stage unlikely right now

I just don’t see a world in which Chelsea sell their academy product to us on deadline day.

They’re probably just leading us on in spite.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

I dont see anything special with him at all, not 45 million worth of player. This has been a weird window

One must think it's still Atletico in the driving seat for Hojbjerg but if we've done business with Utd over Reggie then wouldn't rule out that.

On one hand i would be very very delighted if he replaces Pierre.

On the other i am looking at CB and the striker situation and wonder if we shouldnt try to fix this.

And again, cant see Chavs doing us any favours, even with the new owners.

He reminds me a bit of Scholes but can actually tackle, thought he was great at Palace.
Would be a great addition and if we got him I’d be on board with PEH going along with lo celso who’s only got a year left on his contract.
Sarr, Mads, Biss, Benty, Skipp and Gallagher is a pretty dynamic set of midfielders.

I like Gallagher and think he would be another good attacking threat in midfield. He also works his bollocks off.

It’s not a favour. It massively helps their FFP.

It’s overkill surely?

My personal hope, which may be unpopular and is completely unrealistic, is that we get Gallagher and Tosin which allows us to get a non HG forward.

Whilst I’d prefer we get a young prospect like Rodondo if PEH leaves. I think Gallagher is a better player then Johnson and assuming 2 of our three incomings would have to be HG I’d prefer the non HG spot go to a forward if at all possible.

I’m hanging out hope (blind hope admittedly) for Schurrs/Adarabioyo, Johnson and Gallagher tomorrow, however we have to make that work. Then arrange transfers for Redondo and Marcos Leonardo for January.

Where does he fit in our system.? Who out of Biss Sarr madders drops out?

My expectation is one of Bentancur or Sarr would become the alternative 6 with Bissouma. The one or the other would compete with Gallagher for 8 spot, and then Maddison and Lo Celso for 10 spot. Where Skipp fits in is the question. Albeit if Lo Celso also wanted to go, I think we’d still be ok for numbers.

Not sure they are on a good way if they are willing to get rid of someone who started every match for the new manager to a direct opposition who struggles with the HG-ruling.

FFP or not, they will struggle to build a succesful project if they continue like that.

I must be one of the few that doesn't think he's anything special.

Seen, 2 out the 3 Chelsea games so far and thought he was very meh.

Maybe he's been used in the wrong system so far, but passing and positioning in particular I thought he was really poor.

I appreciate though he should be played further forward, more of a Lampard type of player that arrives late and scores goals, which he did quite well for Palace, just £45m ish feels like too much.

Would help with the HG issue though.
