Ansu Fati tells Sevilla that he is going to Tottenham

❗️ The striker's father wanted to see him play for Sánchez Pizjuán but the player opted for the Premier League

🤝 All that remains is for the two clubs to agree on the transfer

I believe gbsans the writer is considered very highly for Barca news

Also reported we had a bid turned down for Rodrygo of €150m

I’d say Mundo Deportivo are speculative at best

Still don't think this deal happens as I don't see a world where Barcelona let him go permanently without a buyback because they never want to look stupid if incase he does revert back to his old form.
I know I've said this before but Fati isn't a case of whether he can return to his old form.

He simply isn't the same player he was before his knee got completely wrecked. He lost his explosive pace that was such a huge part of why everyone saw him as a wonderkid and the heir to Messi.

He still has skill of course, and he can finish. But if anyone is expecting this guy to be flying past opponents then they're gonna be seriously disappointed. He'll probably end up as a number 10 or second striker.

We need wide forwards who can take on their man with a burst of pace. He doesn't have that anymore. And the PL is wayyy more physical than La Liga.

This absolutely screams "deal/opportunity". We're essentially helping Barca buy Felix and getting a player with one functional knee. I'll support him 100% if he joins but this is not a sensible move IMHO.

Who are you? Where have you come from? Why do you keep managing to post updates before me?

Get out of my swamp.
🤣🤣🤣

Don’t worry, I hopefully won’t be able to post so fast anymore soon enough🙌

Been basically bed-ridden for a couple of months with a back issue so have been chronically online due to having nothing better to do with myself😅 Should be finally through the worst of it in two weeks.

Been glad to have the transfer window and Spurscommunity to keep me distracted over said time though 🙏

It would be really interesting to find out the boards preference between him and Johnson. Are we allowed to put a poll in one of the threads?

It needs to be both not either/or.

If it is one then 100% Johnson as HG and can cover RW and ST, if its just Fati on loan then that is appalling given we got £100mil for Kane!

Lol why would you bring in Fati for a year to disrupt what will be a clear rebuild year? Makes no sense.

Just sign Johnson on a permanent and a CB. Call it good. We only play once a week.

Based on these reports it sounds like Ange has sweet talked another new player just like he did with Madders and VDV.

Hopefully we can thrash out a loan with option deal that suits all parties.

if it’s a loan with an option for fati or 50m for johnson it has to be fati

not only is it more financially viable, he also has a track record of end product at the highest level that brennan johnson does not

How is it not sensible to take a loan with an option? For a former wonderkid that averages a goal involvement every 110 minutes? It seems like a no-brainer.

If there’s an option for Fati and he’s good on loan you’d like to think it’s a no brainer! The rebuild is happening and if Fati fulfils his potential he’s a star for us in coming years!

I did think it would almost certainly be a choice between Fati or Johnson.

Which is insane really. Completely different types of player and play on opposite sides too.

This stinks of someone sniffing an opportunity and throwing our plans out the window, all so we don't spend actual money?

Why on earth would we take Fati on a loan and not pursue someone our manager clearly wants as his number 1 target. We're basically getting someone in for 12 months instead of buying someone who the manager wants for his long term rebuild.

Regardless of my opinions on either player and what their worth, it's naffing insane.
